OTC4579 9-Way Slide Hammer Puller Set, Black

Ok, the package arrived and was turned upside down at least 100 times. A lot of the small adapters were strewn about and I spent 5 min figuring out where everything went.Any way I removed a rear hub from my 2010 caravan with 165km worth of rust. Still need to use chisels and air hammer on my knees in the driveway.Anyway the tool does no good on rust seized hubs. No fault the tool it self, will last a home garage guy like me a lifetime.

Reasonable price, came with lots of problem solving bits. A threaded insert that was included saved my bacon when my old wheel bearing broke up while removing, leaving the bearing and hub mount still attached. The threaded insert was a close enough thread I could use it in the old bolt holes to shimmy/hammer the rest of the hub off.Could only be better if it came with "push" tools as well, then it would really be a universal tool any garage should have.

Came in well packaged 2 days before expected date. great Tool, with all the attachments, well crafted and of good quality. used it the first time to pull a front bearing, took 13 slides to pull the bearing out, not hard at all. Downfall is the front bearing attachment holes are somewhat spread apart too far (for my VW Jetta hub holes) and when bolting your bolt is hitting the centre core of the attachment so the bolt cant be tighten down all the way, but if you tighten them evenly there will be enough pressure on the attachment to secure it solidly to the hub. Overall great tool for the money and will be a great addition to my tool crib.PS: it even has a nut with a bolt thread that will fit in a vise-grip so you can use it to fasten the vise grip on whatever you need pulled out and slam away.

I had to borrow this tool before deciding to buy one. There's a lot of uses for this tool by itself, before considering the array of attachments that can be used with it from OTC and various other brands. Must have for any professional.

I have not had a chance to use this set as of yet but I am certainly happy with the quality.It is not cheaply made to to save money and looks like it will do the job just fine!
