Flashlight

Long life, very well made, very bright. Battery pack and part of the light are not water resistant.
As a flash-light addict, I review and own a LOT of lights. Some I buy, others are given to me for review (this one was given to me at a deep discount.) I swear there are three factories in China that make 90% of the flashlights sold. today. The form factor and over-all design of this light is pretty much identical to many others. What's different is that both LED's are the same. Some have one as a high, another as a low beam. Or one wide and one spot. These are in the middle of a flood and a spot. They throw plenty of light to illuminate the road (or anything) directly in front, plus have a huge throw - I lit up trees 100 feet away on high. The battery pack has four 18650 batteries set up to output just under 8 volts. This translates to a long run time with bright light. You can pick from three settings - bright, brighter and brightest. These look like a motorcycle headlight coming at you.The mount is designed to go across a bar - handle bar, etc. The mount can be rotated sideways by loosening a screw and turning it - but it won't lock in place and may twist. There's a mount designed as a headband. The straps can be removed and the mount attached to almost any 1" strap - for example, a backpack accessory strap. There's about 4 feet of cable that connects the battery pack to the light. The battery pack is NOT waterproof. You'll have to put it in a baggie, etc. if you're going to use this in the rain. The light itself is machined aluminum. The switch controls brightness and power. There's also three indicator lights that show the power level. These are always on, so you'll need to disconnect the battery pack when not in use. The cable connection is waterproof. The light is *mostly* waterproof. The cable connection has no seal at all (that's why I dinged it a star.) I pulled it apart and added some epoxy to the inside and silicone to the outside. This sealed the wire connection. The switch and lenses are waterproof. It's a very versatile light with a lot of different uses - and it's bright. Great as a headlamp or bike light, or if you want the light head remote from that batteries. It you're creative, you can make your own mounts and attach this thing almost anywhere.
