The listing indicated a unit total of 144 pieces in this order to incentivize you to buy but no, it’s only 1 box of 12. When I bright to the attention of customer service, the Amazon rep tried to tell me that the listing is correct and that it’s 12 smaller pieces in each bar which is obviously incorrect. Waiting for response from the vendor to resolve as this is an overpriced and misleading listing

These bars taste pretty good, and the vegan protein makes you feel fantastic and energized (a lot more than protein bars that are made with animal proteins like "whey"). However, these bars are honestly overpriced. There's no reason for Vega to keep the price so high, especially after the product has been out for a while now, and with many other companies producing similar items (the price is currently $26.85 per 12-count box).If you want another vegan 20g protein bar that tastes almost exactly the same, but it's half the price, then try the "CLIF Builders" 20g protein bars (not their energy bars, but specifically their 20g protein bars). They have lots of flavors, and their Vanilla Almond flavor is very similar in taste to the salted caramel vega bars (they even look identical if you place the bars side by side). They are only $6.99 per 6-count box (just $1.17 per bar instead of vega's $2.24 per bar). You can find them right here on Amazon (and they can also be found locally just about anywhere as well). The Vega Protein Bar Chocolate Peanut Butter is great! It does have a lot of sugar (18 G) for the size of the bar but it also has 20 grams of protein and tastes great. Not nearly as chalky and tastes way better than competitors with the same protein content. Be careful not to confused it with the Vega Protein Chocolate Peanut Butter Snack Bar. That one is similar but is smaller, has 10 grams of protein, and 11 grams of sugar. I don't like it nearly as well and it does not get me to lunch the way the larger bar does.

I work in a physically demanding job and would take these to work. They have more carbs and are filling without making you feel like you ate something bad for you. I'm sad I can't get them anymore and hope Vega will have them again. I went to Vega's direct website and they are out of stock as well. I have tried all three flavors and they are all good.

I've been a vegan a long time--a poor one at that--and so I can eat almost anything. However, these are so rough I even struggle. It's like eating chalk with some sort of reminiscent flavour of caramel. The texture is so terrible, too. Vega has done a lot of good things, unfortunately, this isn't one of them.
