Poor quality
After using 4 to 5 times, a crack started appearing in the bowl through the centre stretched towards the walls..

it's art as well as functional
This mortar and pestle set is beautiful! I love the deep green colour. We keep it on the counter rather than in a cupboard just because we like looking at it.We grow a lot of our own herbs (rosemary, thyme, etc.) and dry them. This set works really well to crush them before I add them to whatever I'm cooking.It's nicely heavy, so it doesn't skid all over the counter, but not so heavy that it's difficult to work with.This would make a great present for someone who likes cooking.
