I'm Stuck on Vistafoil
I have found Vistafoil to be an excellentproduct and have used it over the past few years to laminate all sorts of paperback books and music scores. As with any laminating film, it is easiest to use when the book cover has a flat, matte finish. More challenging are books with a glossy finish, which require extra effort to adhere and eliminate potential air bubbles. All in all, Vistafoil is currently the best product I've found for laminating and preserving my library of books and scores.Just remember, it takes time to do the job right, particularly on those shiny book covers.

Great for prolonging the life of favorite books!
My kids have book series that they love to read and read again. Covering the book jackets (hard covers) or paperback books makes them last so much longer and protects the investment. This is a great covering as you can lift it up and re-apply it if you get air bubbles on the first try.

Vistafoil used to be a great product for wrapping library books
Vistafoil used to be a great product for wrapping library books. But they must have changed the formula. Now it is difficult if not impossible to work with. It is unforgiving and cannot be peeled to correct position without wrinkling or sticking to itself. It bubbles, it creases, it's a disaster! Any other librarians with this problem? Also, removable labels that we use for interlibrary loan get absolutely stuck on the vistafoil laminate so that we have to use Goop-Off or similar products to remove it. PLEASE, Vistafoil, go back to making this product the old way!!!~ Am going to try ordering Con-Tact or Duck brand and see if that works better. If anyone has found a product that works, please reply on this thread, thanks!
