Good quality InstaMorph plastic
I’ve been using this product for making the claws of my art dolls. I love how sturdy the plastics are when they are hardened and dried. What I hate part about the process is that I had to go down into the kitchen to microwave the water just to try to keep it hot repeatedly which is kind of annoying. Overall it is a great product to work with for sculpting pieces for my art dolls.

Very handy stuff to have around. Fun too!
This is handy stuff to have around for small projects, or crafts. It is easy to melt and work - even with bare hands. I really like the reusable nature of the product. When hot it looks clear, as it cools it hardens and turns white. The end result is strong, flexible, and has a slightly waxy feel. While this stuff is very versatile, it is tricky to make the end product look like it wasn't done by a 3rd grader using modeling clay for the first time. Still, the stuff is easy to work/rework and is very strong and flexible when it hardens. It can also be melted with a good hairdryer, although it might take some patience if you are looking to melt a lot of it. If you only want to pretty up a project and adjust it, the hairdryer technique might be the way to go.Do not expect to use this stuff as an epoxy replacement. (For Example binding some broken thing together. The nature of this product when melted, makes it difficult to achieve a tight fit around something that has broken. The melted product will not adhere readily to non-porous surfaces.Caveat!: While the end product is strong and durable it is NOT suitable for applications where temperatures will exceed about 140 degrees F. as it will melt. I would not recommend it for use in a car such as a phone of GPS holder. One hot day in the direct sun will melt your creation.Caveat: Be careful of allowing the hot/melted product to come into contact with wood or certain porous surfaces. It will adhere very strongly, and be difficult to remove.

This stuff is the best moldable plastic you can buy
Having previously purchased 2 x 12 oz packages over the past few months this stuff is great and fun for the whole family. After melting the desired amount at the recommended temperature it's very easy to shape and mold, you can easily shape it with your hands without worrying about burning you and the best part is that it doesn't stick to your skin like other products.Depending on my usage I will typically mold it by hand but I have also used wax and epoxy molds with great success just I apply a coat non-stick cooking spray first. The kids have molded custom objects and then pressed them into lego plates to copy the pattern so their objects are then connectable to lego bricks. This stuff is great for repair jobs too, I have successfully re-enforced several usb cables that started to become weak behind the mini usb connector and saved them from further damage. I've molded custom phone and tablet holders for several devices.I've made cord holders and wall hooks too. There's no limit to what you can do with this stuff. This plastic is amazingly strong, it does not become brittle at all and does not break, it will bend if stressed but I have yet to break it.I will typically work with a bowl of ice water next to me so I can do a quick dip for instant results, or refine my result.

Works well after you get a good technique down. Consistency when warm is like clay
So this stuff is really cool for DIYers. It's super easy to work with if you follow the instructions. It cools off faster than I was expecting which means you gotta work fast or try ways to reheat/shape it. I was mold casting a small jewelry box handle so I didn't need to worry about this. When warm it's like molding clay and will push into mold but isn't runny. (If you mold it hold it pressed into the mold til it starts to cool off a bit).Easily spray painted with a 2 in 1 primer/paint and then a sealer and seems to have a nice finish.Over all I found a cool new material and my grandma is happy about her fixed jewelry box so a win win.

Moldable, but not conveniently
While this product is moldable, it is also a bit finicky to work with. This product does work, it's just that the end result will look lumpy or a bit misshapen without some effort and tools. My experience was in trying to create a solid handle for a slightly unwieldy piece of equipment and to also fix a gap in the flat plastic of a sewing machine. First of all, you need to have a source of hot water that remains hot. Just boiling a pot or kettle of water will not last long enough for any revisions beyond maybe one or two. It also helps to have a large enough pot or pan of water to soak the entire object into speed up the softening process. Also if you don't knead the plastic bulbs thoroughly, reheating the object will cause the individual granules to swell unevenly and make a bumpy appearance. In short, getting flat sheets is tricky. I've read online reviews where people mention using a pasta maker, and that seems like the most convenient way. I ended up using the flat sheet of glass from my microwave and a cylinder shape water glass as a makeshift rolling pin.So if what you need doesn't need to look pretty, but just needs to be functional, this stuff is pretty great for that. You will just need some time learning how to best mold the plastic. But if you want or need your end product to be smooth and non-lumpy (like I did for my two projects) then you will need to keep revising and smoothing and adding more plastic and spend a pretty big chunk of time working with the plastic. Luckily working with it is kind of fun in the way playing with squishy stuff usually is.
