Great piece to let your creativity go wild on. Its unfinished so that you can choose how to finish it. Mine I sanded super smooth and curved the edges. Gave the handle a bit more work to fit my hand a little better and stained it a deep mahogany red color. It came out fantastic. A good piece to hang on the wall in my nautical themed bathroom. Bought this for my beach-themed sitting room. I weathered it, then stained it with a white wash, looks perfect above my mantel. It is a solid piece! A lot sturdier than I thought it would be!
