Upgraded from CCA (Copper Clad Aluminium) to this pure copper (99.95%) and it sounds much better. I've made two 3m lengths for my speakers. There are more expensive options but there are lots of positive reviews of this product and I can say it sounds great. When I stripped the wires with wire strippers to make the endpoints no copper fell off and they fit nicely into the terminals on my amp and speakers. This is a quality product.

Performs extremely well by comparison with much more expensive speaker cable. Leads me to conclude there is a lot of hype about the qualities of speaker cable and the need to spend something approaching a fortune to achieve good quality sound.Maybe it is psychological, we think we perceive superior sound just because the speaker cable is expensive; so by all means if you believe you get better results pay the premium. But I cannot tell the difference used with a very good quality set up, and probably neither can the majority of us.

There are those who would spend the cost of this reel of Monoprice cable on a single metre or less of so-called "high end" cables (which are backed up by rave reviews from magazines who make large advertising revenues from their manufacturers - go figure!). Don't believe the hype - these cables are as good as any out there: high purity copper of a good gauge with an excellent sleeve. Spend your money on the item that really matter on the hi-fi chain, i.e. the source.
