I was looking for a creative outlet and considered the popular adult coloring books that are featured on Amazon. However, I stumbled across the Selfie Kit which I found more interesting because it gives you the space and freedom to go "outside the lines". The blank canvas it provides can be intimidating at first (especially for a guy who has limited artistic talents) but quickly becomes relaxing and fulfilling when you accept that you're not trying to create a masterpiece but rather something that is meaningful and enjoyable. If I have one suggestion for At Kits it would be to offer additional paper sizes for larger and smaller mandalas.

I highly recommend this kit for anyone looking to take a break from the everyday and focus on something creative, fun and easy to do. In the week I spent making my mandalas, I got the chance to get centered and relax while doing something I normally "don't have time for." In just 15 minutes a day, my mind got to unwind and let go, meditate and express itself all while creating art.

A really interesting at-home art therapy kit with such an appealing wheel of paints and quality art materials. I really admire the voice that comes through on the directive card of the kit...it's clear and encouraging. Even so, I found myself trying too hard to paint something "pretty" the first few days. Then amazingly, painting the daily mandala became like mediation -- I just let it happen and loved how it felt. Great buy for yourself or as a gift!
