Good replacement for 99 civic d16y7
My car got a p1382 cylinder position sensor no signal cel as well as started driving poorly. Ordered up this replacement instslled it and cleared my code. Have driven about 500 miles on it and the cel has not returned and my car is back to running smoothly.Will update if I have any issues. As for the reviews about loss in power I'm assuming the ignition timing was not done after install, don't forget to do it!

Return my car from the dead
It was installed on a 1999 Honda Civic. I had trouble getting it to start and bought this item. It worked perfectly and it has been a month since the installation I have not had a problem. Hopefully, it will last long.

Check Engine light - distributor failed weeks after installation
We installed the distributor and fired up the car. Set the timing by ear, then drove to a nearby dealership to have the timing properly set. Within 3 weeks, we got a Check Engine light. Brought the car to Honda, who diagnosed that the new distributor had failed. Ended up buying a factory distributor.

misdiagnosed the problem
the problem was not the distributor but the tensioner of the timing belt. So i returned it.

Siento un poco de perdida de potencia
Funciona bien las dos primeras semana , ahora noto perdida de potencia. La parte de aluminio es aceptable en cuanto la parte de negra es endeble ,se rompió cuando intenté cambiar los cables de la bujía, en fin para el precio deja que desear. En caso de que la perdida de potencia sea por otra causa pasaré por aquí a actualizar este comentario.
