I was researching prices on getting a cooler pad where you set your laptop on top of it. I saw these in the search and starting looking into them and saw that the reviews and what it states is way better than any cooler pad. So I decided to take a chance on it and purchase. I can't be more happy with this. I normally play starcraft and heroes of the storm on my laptop and about an hour of game play the whole laptop is hot, it starts radiating heat from the bottom and the I feel the heat on the keyboard... But with this!!! - It barely feels warm after a few hours, there is a HUGE difference in temperature of my laptop with this. It is a little loud if you had absolutely nothing else on. But once the game music and game sounds are on you don't even notice at all. Though underneath the cooling pad where the fixed mount is suppose to be secured - a little blue grommet went missing. It helps keep the fixed mount secured to the cooler pad. Even with it missing I haven't had any problems with it. I will be purchasing more of these maybe in a higher end range. But I just wanted to see if this actually worked for my laptop without spending too much just yet. This is well worth the price!- If you have learned anything helpful with this review, please let me know by clicking the "yes" button below. Please note I’m not compensated in any way for your vote; however, your positive vote definitely helps me learn what shoppers find as helpful.

From low graphics to ultra graphics: No more heat problems.
Background: I've been having heating problems with my Lenovo Y510P for more than a year. I've tried everything I could think off (cooling pads, cleaning from the inside weekly, turning the laptop off every now and then, you name it).I was just about to ditch my laptop and buy a desktop because I couldn't handle this anymore. When I was working the laptop would go reaaaally hot, and when I did just the slightest of gaming it would go basically on fire (the whole keyboard part would go so hot that you couldn't place your hand on it, plus the air that was being expelled was so hot that it could literally melt ice). The worst part is that the laptop would go very hot in just a matter of 10-15 minutes when working, and even 5 minutes if I just turned it on and started gaming. This obviously led to driver crashing problems using any application, plus low frame rates and shuttering on games.I read on a website about these types of solutions and decided to give it a try. After reading a lot deciding which would work (there are products of this kind that are just garbage) I found this one and decided to give it a shot. I put this thing on my laptop and after 10 hours of work and 12 of stress testing (opening Blade and Soul, Heroes Of The Storm and a chrome browser with 10+ tabs including 3 youtube videos playing) the laptop is just warm, and only on the area where the laptop fan is.I had to do gaming with the low settings because of this huge problem. Now with this I can do ultra on my games without suffering this issue anymore. One thing to note is that this product DOES NOT stick to the laptop. You NEED to have the laptop on a table so it can be fixed on the laptop fan and perform the head extraction. All in all it does the job pretty well. An inexpensive solution for a huge problem.Highly recommend this product.

This is the only side vacuum type laptop cooler you should get..
This is the only side vacuum type laptop cooler you should get.Tried 3 other brands of vacuum type side cooler for laptop, they all worked well but at the Lowest Fan speed were Too Loud!!Yuesong side vacuum laptop cooler at the lowest fan speed is barely audible yet when installed correctly by side vent with a lenovo laptop w510 i7 quad core kept the whole top of laptop keyboard and palmrest quite cool! This brand which I paid 7.99 approx for a used item from warehouse deals works much better than a 30.00 conventional laptop cooler which runs Under the laptop. Also tested with real temp software.Definitely worth checking out, for under 15.00 what have you got to lose?Easily installed by attaching bottom plastic piece of cooler under side of laptop, then use one of rubber type seal pressed against side of your laptop's side vent to suck more air out there by cooling off laptop considerably even while streaming 1080p you tube clips for over 30 minutes!fan speed completely adjustable.(I might mention ordered a 2nd one from a vendor in China that is taking a long time to arrive)One more thing you should first vacuum out the Side Vent in your laptop with a powerful home type cannister vacuum cleaner hose or a shop vac, this will remove all the dust and debris that accumulated in your laptop, do this before installing this laptop cooler.

While the swap works beautifully, I've had a few thermal shutdowns when I ...
I swapped an "AMD N660 3.0Ghz" processor into my laptop so I've been using "Core Temp" to keep track each of the CPU cores. While the swap works beautifully, I've had a few thermal shutdowns when I encode more than an hour of 1080p DivX. At idle my processors were averaging around 136 degrees, but when the CPUs are all running at about 80% for an hour or so the temps can hit almost 170 degrees. After using this for it's first 15 minutes my CPU temps were averaging 114 degrees for the first time since the swap!!! O,OI haven't had a single thermal shutdown even on the more CPU intensive tasks and I've got to say this thing really works!!! Admittedly it's a little loud at full speed 46 decibels as measured by the "Sound Meter" Android App, but if you turn it down to 75% it's just below 40 decibels. Personally I don't mind the sound at all, I've had DVD-RW Drive that was louder than this little thing. So if you'd like a little extra insurance against high CPU temps this works really well!!! ^_^
