Purchased these pipe cleaners to help deal with rust on the interior of an older bicycle frame. They did the job very well, and are moderately stiff. As with all steel bristled cleaning items, make sure you choose the right diameter for your application. I did need to use a tool to remove them and aid in twisting them in some of the pipes that were a bit small.Overall, they have held up very well, and can even be inserted into a drill chuck to aid in your cleaning efforts. Would highly recommend, especially for the price.

These work, and for the price, you'll likely get what we pay for..... but they do bend bristles, an will deform quickly.Chucking it up in a drill is certainly being over zealous, but can and should be done!! This will make this tool much more effective, but if you do this, you certainly should not expect these brushes to last long...but they will do a job or 2 and at a good price!! Four Star. The variety of brush sizes are what I need for cleaning rust off my old bicycle. the keyring that comes with it has a one way latch gate that allows you to easily take the brush off you need and replace it when done. The construction has held up to normal use without any signs of wear and the bristles are securely wound around the stiff core wires. The brush cores are too stiff to bend around corners and get into hidden spaces but then I think they would not hold up to punishment as well.
