Farrar, Straus and Giroux (Byr) Moomin's Lift-The-Flap Hide Seek: With Big Flaps for Little H s

Bought this book for a 2 year old, but his 4 year old brother also enjoys it. The first time we read it together, at the end they immediately demanded another reading. Then another. And another! Four year old likes to lift the flaps while we read. Two year old is just as happy to "read" it by himself and look at all the pictures. The book itself is quite sturdy and 2 year old seems to manage to lift the flaps well enough without too much risk of tearing, but I'm not sure how long they'd survive in the hands of a younger child. I wasn't really expecting much from this book and have been pleasantly surprised. I can see more moomin books in our future!

I guess I didn't really look at the size of this book on the pictures. I expected it to be quite small, its a lovely big book. Bright colours, bold writing, lovely pictures.This was an absolute hit with my grandson. I got the Moomins book because my daughter used to love the Moomins when she was little, so thought would get it for her son.He loves the excitement, lifting the flaps and all the lovely pics.

Lovely fun book

Lovely book but the flaps are quite flimsy compared to other baby books like Dear Zoo for example. My fifteen month old has torn a few out after looking at it twice whereas Dear Zoo is still in one piece!

sweet book, ideal as gift. the pictures take centre stage.
