We purchased these as a distress signal for our jet-ski. We put the second one in our boat.These are great with the jet-ski. Easy to attach to the safety lanyard by the key. Many jet-ski incidents start with the driver being off the ski, so this way the whistle is always with the driver in the event of an emergency.The brass (colored at least) key ring still looks great after a season of getting wet. And, the plastic whistle is still like new. Quite loud, which is the point of this. The safety orange color is great for our purposes.

These whistles are great! Ear piercingly loud and bright orange which is exactly what a safety whistle should be. They also sound louder than a regular whistle with a different tone. Hard to describe but sounds more urgent like an emergency. Will keep in our boat. We love them.

Bought this because of the high db level. While not soft it is not as loud as I wanted. Bought another Kwik Tek Whistle with Lanyard that is very loud, well made and cheaper.

The whistles are great. The lanyards are not great -- they have a quick release cap at the top that pulls apart easily - needs to be taped to stay together actually. They did arrive reasonably quickly - so the seller seems ok.

It don't work. It is not load!

Way too loud for small child sports. Yes, sounds counter intuitive, but as the coach blowing the whistle, you should use ear protection. the chilren have more sensitive hearing and you need to make sure that they are not within 15', as this will injure one of them. But for back packing and you get lost, these will work great, just cover your own ears
