This is such a cute, fun little toy that we ended up buying one for each niece! They loved them, but I will say that for a 2 year old, the velcro is STRONG on it! They ended up needing an adult to help most of the time.When you first get the toy in, the velcro is covered by a thin cloth, so if you don't take that off it won't stick (took us a couple minutes to realize it). The girls call it their "elephant lion toy" which is fun, and they have a few different ways they think it should go since that's what they saw on the box right away. Could be fun to take it out of the box before gifting it or giving the box separately so they form their own ideas first. All in all, a very cute and well made toy! Wonderful for creativity and playing.

We spend so much time making cute creatures out of this fun toy! It’s perfect for encouraging imagination. Velcro sticks well to keep party’s attached!

Bought two of these for my great nephews. Fun toy, interactive. FYI- interchangeable body parts will not stick if you do not remove paper covering Velcro. At first, my nephew was not interested, and his dad was having trouble, I took a shot and realized there was paper covering each body part attachments preventing them from sticking to Velcro on main body. Much more fun when it works.

The concept of the mix-a-roo is pretty cool and functional. My kids have had fun with it.That being said, our first box came missing the fox ears, dragon wings, and elephant ears. I reached out to Educational Insights directly and never heard back. Reached out to Amazon and was sent a replacement.The replacement had all the parts, but was clearly used. As pictured, the mane of the first and the replacement are different colors, as though one is faded or sun-bleached. The cheek had come apart and been repaired with white thread. The first one does not show any visible white thread.On top of that, the general construction is a little lacking (or there were additional repairs made). Some of the Velcro and covers were literally sewn into the seam. I had to cut the cover off in order for it to not just dangle.

Good toy for in the go. Velcro is little hard for one year old. But three and you have a blast making up their own animals.

This larger-than-expected stuffed friend makes a great gift! I was skeptical that the pieces would have a weak connection and keep falling off, but I was wrong!Each piece connects via super strong Velcro and stays put through toddler play! My son is a little young for this (almost 2) and actually has a tough time taking some of the pieces off. He actually prefers his buddy with none of the attachments at this point 😆. I think this would be perfect for an older 2 year old- 4year old.Each piece is constructed very well with a durable fabric in fun colors!It's a great concept for learning the names of different animal parts (wings, trunk, mane), strengthening fine motor skills and inspiring imagination and outside the box thinking.

This is a super cute and fun stuffed animal. It is not as soft as many stuffed, but it is fun changing out the animal's pieces. Some of the velcro are coming apart already, but it looks super easy to replace with some needle/thread. Overall a really cute idea, I wish they would make a few more variations of the animals so you could mix and match more.
