I bought this for my yoga mat. I knew it was time to clean it even though there were no weird smells even after not washing it for 6 months (maybe more; don't judge); I do hot yoga and it gets pretty wet, to say the least. I would let it air dry overnight but just the idea of what else could be on there made me decide I needed outside help with cleaning my mat. Either way, I finally received this and tried it out. First off, it is natural and most definitely vinegar-based. It gets obvious with the first spray and a little strong. I was seriously bewildered at how other reviewers said that they loved the smell.It takes time.Once it dries, the smell is rather pleasant. You just need to wait. The initial vinegar smell is honestly my only complaint. I can't say much about how clean my mat is afterwards since I don't have a microscope on hand, but at least it looks clean (I have a black mat so I can't really tell...), or at least I would like to think it's cleaner.

Good cleaner for yoga mats. I was looking for a more "environmentally" friendly cleaner and this one fit the bill. I don't really know who would want to use a product laden with chemicals for something that they sit on and place their head on all the time though, so I'm unclear as to why there are even cleaners out there made of a bunch of chemicals :).The only bad thing about this cleaner is that it DOES have a vinegar smell. It's not necessarily SUPER strong, but it's definitely there and you can smell it when you use your mat for the first time after cleaning it. I actually like the smell of vinegar so it doesn't bother me that much--but I can see how it might bother other people.Overall, a very good cleaner :)

I previously wrote a rather negative review of this product because I did not understand the need for vinegar in the product to break down the essential oils. The product works fine as a mat cleaner and the scent dissipates as the cleaner drys so as not to be a problem for scent-sensitive individuals in your classes. I use it about once a week to keep my mat from smelling like old sweat. Bottle is too big to bring to the studio so I clean my mat at home.

Great yoga mat cleaner that gets rid of funk well and leaves behind a pleasant scent once the vinegar smell wears off.However, to get a thorough even coating on my mat for cleaning I have to spray the little pump bottle about a million times and have to be precise with the angle or it won’t spray, or misses the mat and just gets my floor instead. I think a taller, skinnier bottle with a trigger sprayer would be preferable.

This is a good buy for just $8. The cleaner smells good and works well with my mat. I have yet to try it with my Jade mat. I'm still curious how it's going to work with natural rubber/open cell mats. But I like that the scent stays on for days! I was just disappointed that I ordered this through Prime with the 2-day shipping option and I didn't receive it until 4 days later which is what you get more or less for choosing standard shipping. Nonetheless, I'm happy with this purchase. It's way too affordable compared to mat sprays from Manduka or Gaiam which cost just about the same but come in 5oz sizes. This one comes in a 12oz bottle. Definitely worth your money.

Sorry. This is the worst smelling yoga mat cleaner I have ever encountered. I am very bummed but need to bring it to an event and don't have time to return. The smell (listed as "perfume" in the ingredients) is supposed to be sage and citrus. It smells very much like a cologne one would find at a drugstore. I am going to pour most of it out and try to dilute it.

This is an excellent all around cleaner, especially for my yoga mat. It smells clean and fresh, and I love that it isn't a harmful product full of chemicals. It's so clear, you can read the label through the liquid. I highly recommend this product.
