Another CRACKER of a book!
WOW...another excellent read from this author! Stellar character development ensued, showing the readers the ends to which people can go to, to achieve their ultimate goals!! I find that the author in each of his novels, goes to great lengths to really shape his characters' persona. This continues to make him, an exceptional author...you get a BIG BANG (consistently) for your bucks....as the saying goes! Fabulous read...very complex and interesting cast of characters! RECOMMEND!!

keeps you guessing... I enjoyed the story and I don't usually read books... Short chapters helped to keep my attention. Overall recommended

It was... OK!
The first book by John Marrs that I read was "The One." I found that to be a real page turner, wanting to see what was going to happen next. I didn't get the same thrill from this book. It had some 'ah ha' moments but was lacking the same intrigue.

So dangerously good thriller
Human beings are the most horrifying monsters ever walked on earth. The human mind is the deepest most deadliest Ocean that could kill others in its darkness and could easy drag its owner too if it comes to it.Laura should never meet Amy Elliott Dune (from Gone Girl) because we all would go to hell if that happens. She reminds me of her a lot (that’s a complement to the author) because Amy as horrible as she is she is one of my favourite characters ever written with the depths and complexity.I really appreciate this one for being written in first person perspective. That made it more personal and I prefer it whenever there is an “unreliable narrator”.This story tackles a dangerous serious subject. I don’t do trigger warnings usually because when you read horror thriller you gotta know what you signed up for. HOWEVER. this one I would say be mindful if you have suicidal thoughts skip this one and get someone to talk to. You are being loved and you are not alone. The writing is exquisite. And you should pick it up in the name of thriller love ❤️
