Overall it was a great experience and did exactly what I needed it for, until the base of the tube got squishy and wasn’t holding its own weight after just one month. Waste of money.

It's stronger than you think, it can easily hold the phone without changing its structure. The only downside is that it wobbles when tapping the screen (when held)

This works great! I saw a few reviews about it being too difficult to maneuver but I don’t think it’s that hard. It needs to be a bit stiff so that it’s stable, and stable it is. Only think I’d say is that you should adjust it before you put your phone in. The mechanism to hold your phone (clip) can be easily released when touching it. My phone fell out a couple of times when I was fidgeting with it. Some secondary safety device might be useful to avoid this but overall, it’s not a big deal. Just make sure you have it where you want it before you put your phone in or alternatively, be careful if you are trying to adjust it and you do have your phone in.

It does the job I intended it for, holding my phone when filming stuff on a table, but the arm is very rigid and doesn't feel like you should move it often if you want it to last. I also hate the fact that the support can't really get out of the picture, and I would have prefered if the arm came from the side. If it didn't do the job, I'd probably have returned it, but it's okay. Still not recommended overall, I suspect most people would not really like it because it's too rigid.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this phone holder, I have been through many of these phone holders and all of them have sagged over time. This one is very sturdy. With all the conference calls I’m on these days I like that this allows me to set my phone at eye level. I typically use my phone rather than my computer for most of my conference calls. This stand is actually sturdy enough that I can touch the phone and login as necessary without worrying about the stand moving or collapsing as has happened with stands I’ve tried in the past. If you’re like me and you’ve tried many of these, the rigidity is new and does require a bit of muscle. This is a perfect phone if you plan on setting it and leaving it in that position most of the time, or you only occasionally have to change the position. If you are constantly moving your phone up down and around this may not be the stand for you. I also love the way the connection to whatever surface you are putting it on is very adaptable. This was really well designed. The clamp is a rubberized so it is safe for use in fine furniture or glass and can adjust to anything from 0”-4”. Same with the clamp that holds your phone, I have no issues using this on my expensive phone, with or without a case on it.

Initially, I was skeptical about this gooseneck phone holder because of the reviews indicating the arm was "too stiff" or hard to move or that the clamp was not "big enough" but I took a chance and placed the order. I really liked how cool looking it looked and it was white. When I got the item I immediately tested it out and after a day or 2 of having it, I thought back to the reviews I read and thought.. WTF WERE THEY TALKING ABOUT!!I LOVE THIS PHONE HOLDER, IT has been a key element in my studio, seen in the pictures It's great for taking pictures and videos, and just being able to place it anywhere is awesome. I have it clamped just at my reach at all times, allowing me to take a call or make a video anytime. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST BUY I HAVE MADE ON AMAZON! The arm's phone clamp works well. The arm's furniture clamp might have benefited from having slightly longer clamping fingers. It does the job though.The arm is like a copper pipe rather than the typical twisted coil. It takes a bit of effort to shape the arm to your situation, but once done it stays that way even if you bump into it often.In my case it makes a perfect nightstand for my smartphone now that I've coiled a USB cable around the arm and clamped the arm to my headboard. It makes it a lot easier to listen to audiobooks on my phone at night with the screen elevated, within reach and facing me, but not in the way or taking up space on my real nightstand.
