You can store it on its side. If that’s what you mean by edge. Just be careful that handles don’t get broken. I just leave mine in the oven. You can put in dishwasher as well.

No raised edge. But, OMG Stone is dishwasher safe. After use, I just rub lightly with wet paper towel and then put in dishwasher. No scrubbing. Cleans, shines: the best! Have had for years.

Can this be used with frozen pizza? Or flat bread for the crust?

Absolutely. We use for frozen pizza all the time. Let stone heat in oven and put frozen pizza on hot stone. I haven't, but no reason not to use for flat bread.
