I bought this saber with the express purpose of dueling in mind. While I'm relatively new to the hobby I'm am not new to combat sports. And let me say this has held up tremendously well. Out of the box it performs all of the listed functions. The single switch blink cycle took some getting use to but after consulting the nifty included manual card I was cycling sound fonts and colors in no time. The hilt is well built and the chassis protects the internal from damage in sparring boots. 4 set screws ensure the blade stays on securely though the do back out over time. Now the blade itself has held up so far to 4 dueling session days so far (averaging at least 30 fights conservatively per day). So after approximately 120 whacks at full speed and contact, no damage besides minor scuffs has been sustained. I would recommend ordering a heavy grade blade if you intend to duel though just in case. My only gripe is the obnoxious start up music that plays. It's awful. I muted that as soon as I was able. Also the stock battery life isn't very good. I'd recommend switching it out with a better 18650 (I put an OhmLife in mine) when you get a chance. All in all I'm quite pleased.

Got this as a gift for my hubby and he loves it, our sons want one now too! It’s important to watch YouTube videos too, there are so many more functions that you’re able to use after the how to videos. We watched more by consumers over the actual manufacturer’s. It’s too cool and very sturdy. Lots of fun!!

If you’re gonna be dueling probably choose a different option. The weight balance isn’t great

Very sturdy, good sounding Saber. Very well balanced. My only complaint is the music it plays. Pain in the behind to get it to cycle through to get to the blade color and sounds.

I've been looking for a saber for awhile I found this one to be one of the best bang for the buck. It has tons of features, sounds, color options, etc. The instructions are easy to follow and the red indicator light makes it easy to know which menus you are bring up.

The toy is good size, but I couldn't keep up with the number of functions, fonts, sounds and colors that one button has. That functionality is just too much and maddening. Also, the brightness of the thing is underwhelming. I think there are better options to spend $100 or so on a decent one. I returned it and was content to do so.

dueler! Bought this for a beginner dueler, whose previous saber was a Hasbro toy. These are good quality, excellent soundboard and vibrant lightsabers! Definitely worth the price!
