To what depth is it waterproof (water resistant) and is this guaranteed by date stamp on the body?

The watch doesn't say it is submersible to any depth, it just says "water resistant". nothing on the watch front or back that I saw indicated any depth. You can read the full manual at http://www.finisinc.com/product/1420 , but that doesn't say anything at all about water resistance.
