Patience is Key
Like many of the reviews said it is a bit flimsy and it didn’t work on a great many tries. I wasn’t worried about preserving the functionality of the port so I 100% resorted to getting one of the pieces out by force with a screw driver. After I removed one of the pieces, it EVENTUALLY a worked, but only after ruining 2 of the tubes, cutting a finger and now needing to use Bluetooth headphones exclusively. Overall, I would recommend as a relatively quick and cheap DIY fix especially for an older out of warranty device. Just be patient and keep trying.

Didn’t work for me
Headphone jack broke inside my iPad’s port. I harbored hope that there was a way to shimmy either the short or long tubes into the headphone port. Don’t believe the video. Pushing the tube against a book isn’t enough. I tried to lightly hammer the short tube in with the handle of a screwdriver. The edges on both ends of the short tube ended up warping. So, second and last chance with the longer tube. I was met with enough resistance that I literally took a hammer to the tube. I’d say the pressure I tried to apply was heavier than tapping, but way lighter than driving nails in. Any harder, I think I feel like I would’ve damaged my iPad. The tube eventually felt jammed in enough, and I then used pliers to pull it out. Sadly, plug was still stuck. Turns out that the tube wasn’t deep enough and the tube was crushed. So, I’m $10 down with a problem to still fix, and the port on my iPad looks a little beaten up.I like DIY projects and knew I was gambling on something that looked too easy. Maybe you all can learn from my experience and save your money for more expert repair.

Works like a charm
When my MP3 jack broke off in my car stereo, I was at a loss how to fix it. This device is genius. Took just a few minutes and the broken bit of the jack was out of the plug-in. This works great.

It works!
I was hesitant to try this product based on some of the negative reviews. However, I successfully used it to remove broken headphone jacks from Apple iPads. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Durability is better than expected - some reviews refer to the tubes as "one time use", but I have been able to reuse without issue.

It works, but be very careful...
This tool worked to remove 1/2 of my headphone jack. However, it took several tries, and once I got it out, the jack no longer works, and does not allow the speakers to go on. I had to get some other wireless headphones, and only hope I can figure out how to disconnect this jack so my speakers can work again. But yet, the tool works, just be very careful!...

good for use with kids
I work around kids, so they're always getting there headphone jacks broken off in audio ports in their devices. This works pretty well in getting them out. I will say be careful, it asks you to use your fingers to pull out the tube once it's latches on, but you need to be wearing gloves because if your fingers slip off while gripping it... it WILL slice your thumb. Pliers will bend the metal, so be careful when using those.

Didn't work, broke the headphone jack
spent over an hour trying to get it to work, followed the instructions, nothing, followed the hammer guide the other reviews used and nothing. then i decided to get a tube from a pen and widen the end so it would fit around the jack and it worked perfectly. however usinv the previous method made it so the hack only kinda works when pressure is applied to an angle. just use a pen tube

Work just as expected
Slowly increased the strength up to gently using a hammer to secure the metal inside. Then it worked as expected. Thanks

Doesn’t work at all
This didn’t work at all and they are so soft they bent and messed up when I tried tightening them down. Cheap. Don’t bother. Also amazon wanted me to mail them back instead of refunding me.. not even bothering bc it’s more of a pain to mailThem back. Just don’t buy this, probably ruined my pc
