You certainly get your money's worth. I find that ...
You certainly get your money's worth. I find that they isolate outside noise really well. Music playback is what you would expect for the price. For the record, there is almost no high range output. Mid and some bass but not low bass. If you need inexpensive cans for the office or somewhere you just need to protect yourself from outside distractions, these can do well. They are very light and comfortable, so light I wondered if there was anything in the box as I opened it.If you really care about audio, you probably wouldn't be reading this review, but if you are, these aren't for you.

Just be honest with yourself about why you're buying them.
I've never used a pair of the Beats by Dre that these are so obviously trying to imitate, but I found these to be relatively good at providing bass-heavy sound while being pretty weak for indie music and the like. They provide a small buffer from outside noise, and sit comfortably on the head/ears. Plus, if you wear headphones as a style statement, you're already probably the type who wouldn't be able to tell the difference between these and Skullcandy or Beats anyway.Because lets face it, true audiophiles use brands that don't have "Urban" or "Beatz" in the name anywhere. For the rest of us, these are pretty great.

Look pretty good and sound is respectable - but the quality is reflective in the price, expect to get what you paid for.
Can't beat the price, let's face it. I got the green version (they were only $14.95 and on sale - maybe not a popular color) and I certainly won't be mistaking anyone else's for mine. I like them - they sound good with pretty good sound dampening and a comfortable feel. The head cushion on the top is soft with stitching on both sides - not super high quality so we'll see how long they last. The ear pieces adjust to fit your head and the plastic is very cheap and light on all areas covered in it - I don't think these will survive getting squished inside a back pack very well so I might have to be careful to some extent. I'll write a review later down the road to see if they hold up. I have not owned a Bose or Beats headset so I cannot compare, I'm just a cheapskate and the price was very good.Update: I have now listened to a couple pairs of Beats headphones and a high-end Sony version - these Urban Beatz do not compare really in terms of volume, base, and clarity. Again, for 15 bucks, what could I expect? I still think the sound pretty good for the price, but do not expect the high-performance of more expensive high-quality headsets. I will say after wearing them on 26 hours of flying, that the ear pads aren't the most comfortable on the ears - not as soft as high-end pairs. They did not break during packing on carry on or running around South America. I will say, the lack of volume controls on the cord or the headphones is bothersome - these are not high end!

"Why are you spending $200 on headphones?"
We love these headphones. I bought two pair, one for each of my kids, and they use them constantly. The over-the-ear design is great, and they love the colors. The sound is terrific. My 10 and 7 year olds are audiophiles, but I think the sound rivals much more expensive brands. (*cough* Beats *cough) Esquire Magazine thought so, too. http://www.esquire.com/blogs/culture/beats-by-dre-knockoffs-review?click=main_sr

I really like these. But
I really like these. But, the cord broke or whatever and I couldn't hear anymore, after a few weeks. I absolutely LOVED the loud green color! I truly enjoyed the sounds, as well. But, I couldn't find anyway to repair these headphones and was super disappointed they only lasted a few weeks.

The only headphones my daughter will wear
I can't speak to how the sound quality compares with others, but I can tell you that, according to my 11 year old daughter, these are the most comfortable head phones out there. When her brother broke her first pair, we couldn't find these, so we tried many, many brands. None were acceptable. I finally found these on line, and she is a happy camper. I am too, since I once again don't have to listen to her music!

can find at local TJ maxx for as cheap as $12.99
can find at local TJ maxx for as cheap as $12.99... Sound just as good as beats. Don't look quite as "cool." I actually prefer these to my friends beats solos in terms of comfort (sound identical)
