Does not work don't waste your time.
Did not work at all. Tried with different laptops to monitor, no luck. Many reviews of it not working are correct.

Saved me many times
This is a must have for any traveller with a laptop. Often docks will only have one connector or maybe different styles and having this adapter can really save you a lot of trouble if you are caught without the cable needed. It works well on 3-4 laptops. On some occasions we had to reboot to get it to work. Also note if laptop on battery power it might not throw full 5v to the usb port siphon.

works with a little bit of adjustment
I have a dell u2711 and wanted to get a bit more out of the monitor. 1440p is not supported over HDMI. After a bit of research I found this cable and plugged it in. It didn't work right away. I kept getting an error from the monitor saying the supported resolution was not supported and to change it 2560 x 1440 @ 60 Hz. After poking around in the xbox settings I turned of 50hz and 24hz and it worked!

Excelente producto
Calidad excelente, entrega antes de lo prometido. Lo usé para conectar un monitor Dell que solo tiene DisplayPort a mi laptop que solo tiene HDMI.Este cable no te sirve al revés (cuando tu monitor tiene hdmi y tu compu DP).Algo caro pero vale la pena la inversión.Saludos!

Works better than expected supports 1080@144hz
This rare item is a wonderful piece of tech. I most manufacturers only make hdmi to display port as opposed to display port to hdmi. So upon finding this item I was delighted and it works better than expected. I currently use a kvm switch to switch between two display port monitors and it switches perfectly. This adapter when not actively being used by the monitor but plugged in continues to act as if its still their meaning the transition between the two screens is very smooth and there's no monitor glitching effects. On my ASUS VG278QR Gaming Monitor, with it being capped at 120hz on hdmi and 165hz through display port, I thought that this device would still cap it at 120hz. But to my surprise this device enabled the hdmi port on my laptop to hit 144hz which is quite impressive.

Le 120 Hz enfin possible sur mon écran !
Mon PC a une sortie HDMI 2.1 et mon écran ne supporte pas le HDMI en 120Hz.Cependant, il supporte le 120 Hz en DisplayPort, cet adaptateur me permet donc d'afficher en 1080p120Hz avec une sortie HDMI et une entrée DisplayPort !
