Uncle Steves Sauce Psta Tmo Basil

My Italian-American husband is something of a pasta connoisseur, and has tried just about every red sauce in the jar out there, from lower end (Barilla, etc.) to fancy (Rao's, etc.). Since discovering Steve Schirripa's Uncle Steve's tomato basil sauce, he is absolutely hooked on it, and won't even consider a different brand. We used it over various pastas at both Thanksgiving and Christmas, to rave reviews from the family guests, and I have to say, you may try it because of Steve's 'Soprano' celebrity, but you will quickly fall in love and stay with it for its delicious flavor and aroma of fresh basil. Buon gusto!

Tasty, simple and balanced sauce with an authentic tomato flavor and rich, complex aftertaste. This sauce isn't ruined with too much salt, too much sweet, or too much garlic like typical storebought pasta sauces. At first you may think it's too simple, because you're used to being kicked in the teeth with obnoxious one-note flavors, but just take the time to savor this sauce, because it's all there. The tomato tastes like tomato as it was intended, not tomato that got the life processed out of it.I'll admit I ordered some because I'm a Sopranos junkie, but this is some excellent sauce clearly made with care. Looking forward to tasting all the flavors. Just get this sauce!

Uncle Steves tomato sauce is the best of the jar sauces bar none. Rich tomato flavor without being over spiced or sweet with sugar additives. Definitely a go to item when you do not feel like spending hours cooking up a sauce.
