What's to say about charcoal? It works and this is a great value. Use it in sachets to de-stinkify anything: car, shoes, closets, drawers etc. Works great in the fridge too. Also for aquariums. Great value for the volume.

Wow! What a deal, this type of carbon goes a long way and at a great price. Far better than anything I got at PET-(Insert any name here) stores. Value and quality can't be beat.

I wish there would've been a note in the packaging saying that THE CHARCOAL HAS TO BE ACTIVATED IN THE SUNLIGHT. I am using it to help clean the air of cigarette smoke odors and was wondering why it wasn't working. I read online that the charcoal has to be activated in the sunlight for a couple of hours before it'll work as a deodorizer. It now is working really well!

It's carbon, so not much to say about that. It does the job it's meant to do in the aquariums. The reason I only gave it three stars is because the description says it comes with a free media bag in each jar. Maybe it was just an oversight but neither of the jars I received had a bag inside of it. None anywhere in the shipment. It was a good thing I already had some bags I had purchased onhand or I would have had to wait to use this product. I expect to get what is advertised. I didn't in this case.

Used in a air scrubber. Works fine. Relatively dust free and easy to use a funnel to fill the air scrubber.

Not high quality lab grade activated carbon as described. Label says "Made in China". It does not react or feel like activated carbon I have purchased from other sources. It feel like coconut shell with minimal char and minimal activation.
