Jones Brothers Coffee - NEW Compostable Espresso Capsules (NOIR, Intensity: 10) Compatible with Nespresso Original Machines for Single Cup Coffee Pods (36 Count)

I've worked as a barista for 3.5 years, loved Nespresso's Ristretto/Arpeggio/Dharkan/Kazaar capsules (though my college tuition doesn't), and I was looking for a more affordable alternative. While this espresso isn't necessarily undrinkable, it's surprisingly mild to weak and a lot brighter than I was expecting (though a relatively smooth finish). I've blind-tested it on 3 other barista co-workers + my roommate, and they reached a very similar consensus. Again, these are definitely okay for the money, but certainly not better than other alternatives. Speaking of which, the only other alternative I've really liked is Artizan Coffee's White Rhino and Cuba Mia (Rhino is pretty good, absolutely love the Cuba). Please let me know if you've found other tasty & affordable alternatives!

The picture speaks for itself! If you know what you’re doing with coffee, you KNOW you’ll love this brand! I have had the variety flavor package and this time I ordered the #10 intensity for all 50. This coffee, no matter which flavor, is AMAZING! I have tried many other brands and this is by far my absolute favorite! It is so lovely creamy and the flavor is excellent!

I like this coffee better than the Nespresso ones, but there's another brand on here I've liked more (Lavazza). These are a little milder in flavor, not quite watered down, but the flavors are slightly muted. I prefer the stronger taste of the other one I just mentioned, but these are a solid choice.

In searching for an affordable alternative to the Nespresso capsules I came across this product. I was looking for consistency from cup to cup in both taste and appearance. Of all the other brands that I have tried, this one is my favorite. Taste is very good and the appearance in the cup is appealing, after all we first eat, or sip, in this case with our eyes first. Yes, there are other much lower cost alternatives out there but this is a good middle ground of quality at an affordable price.

My favorite flavor from Jones Brothers coffee. Dark, delicious, and cheaper than most. This is my go to brand for my NespressoMachine.

Good Value .Compared to the nesspesso cups these are a very nice alterative. Its hard to justify spending so much money on coffee these days and this noir flavor makes it easier. Its not too strong..just strong enough. I have purchased these twice and both times I have been satisfied. None of the cups got stuck in my machine like some of the other brands and it make a consistent cup each time. My only concern is they are plastic ... I'm sure that's why they are cheaper than Nesspesso.

We have tried all or nearly all of the Nespresso compatible capsules in their equivalent of the Nespresso Ristretto and they all tasted weak and watery compared to Nespresso. Jones Brothers is the only one that we liked; in fact, my wife and I were both surprised to actually like the Jones Brothers Noir better than Nespresso Ristretto. The only downsides are that Noir sometimes is unavailable and I would like to see it priced significantly lower than Nespresso; for those reasons, I would give it 4.5 stars if I could.

I have purchased the Noir XL Ristretto twice this year, the first order I received back in May was absolutely perfect, strong and bold coffee with great aroma, the next orders I placed wasn't so good, the coffee wasn't strong at all. I would love to give this brand another try if they have the same quality I purchased back in May.
