Small but mighty
Purchased this for a litter of foster kittens to play with and learn to scratch on. It's pretty perfect for little cats. They are able to snuggle around it, scratch on the sisal, and play with the soft cactus 'arms'. It's sturdy enough to stay upright even with five kittens wrestling and bumping into it. For $10 on sale, I'd say it was a great deal and perfect for our needs. Bigger cats may not reap a lot of benefit from it unless they like scratching while seated or lying down. I'd recommend a taller scratching post for most adult cats.

Get the tall one
I highly suggest purchasing the taller one. I suck at eyeballing measurements and the shorter one is 100% too small for adult cats. My kitten is small enough to get some use, but as we all know (sadly!) kittens grow up!! Lol. The shorter one will easily be knocked over by my adult cat.I’m not returning it because the price is so low that it wouldn’t be worth the effort. May even eventually buy the bigger one too as it is super cute. 🐱 🌵

Cute, effective, and cheap
This cat scratcher is effective and adorable! It's approximately 18 inches or so so it's in the short side, but effective. Our full grown cat lays down to scratch at it. She went right to it the second I sat it out. Easy to assemble. A previous review said it was flimsy. The only part that is flexible is the arms of the cactus. Everything else is solid. My favorite part is that this piece is cute! I hate how much of an eye sore some cat items can be. I highly recommend!

Cactus Scratcher
I really have no complaints about this scratching post. Yes it is on the smaller side, so make sure the measurements are appropriate for your needs. Assembly was easy. It’s a good quality. I have a 9 week old kitten who took to is very quickly. I saw him scratching on the couch and moved it to that area and now he’s using the post. He also likes to hit the cactus limbs. Those are soft and bendable. & it’s just plain cute.

Great for pop up enclosures
This product is definitely made for kittens. I bought it specifically because it was short. I had young kittens I was taking care of that had been orphaned.. Their pop up enclosure was 24" high and this was the perfect thing for them to learn to climb and on and it fit inside the enclosure with the top zipped shut. They had a ball with it.

Not durable.
Super cute and my cat loves it, but it didn’t last long. The base and post are durable but the “branches” tore on the first day and that caused my cat to pull all the stuffing out which could have been dangerous had she or my dog eaten it.

Cute little stand
We thought the taller one previously purchased may have scared him, so we tried this one. No luck! I really wanted it to work and take the place of rattan piece of furniture he's endeared himself to!

My cat’s favorite thing
I honestly had no hope for this product when I bought it. My mom was watching my cat for the summer and the brat kept trying to scratch her new couches instead of the scratching post we left for her. Hoping to at least appease my mom we bought this cheap one. But our cat absolutely loves it. She uses it every day even two months later! Plus it is super cute!
