Absolutely gorgeous hard core pencils with some beautiful colours
I love the whole aesthetic behind these pencils, each set has three separate volumes of colours which not only work well together, but with integrate perfectly with the other two volumes in that set.In addition, each matching Volume (so 1, 4, 7) in each set also has complementary colours which go well together so could be used in that way too.They're quite a hard core, probably harder even than Polychromos pencils, but the odd one (usually the red, orange) is a lot softer.I'm just swatching them atm on 160gms cardstock and they take to the paper beautifully, they're easy to lay down and get a colour gradient.

Nice pencils, good for detail work as they have a harder lead which can be sharpened to a fine point. Not recommended for lots of layering effects. Cute presentation idea but not all that practical as its a waste of time to keep opening the little books, I took my pencils out of the packaging and stored them altogether so the packaging to me although cute seems a little pointless

Beautiful 3 book set of all 9 volumes
Oh my goodness I love these! I am so happy with my purchase. The tombow irojitens came highly recommended by members of a Facebook group (Tim Jeff's intricate ink detailed animal sketches). I had my eye on these for a while and couldn't believe I found the 9 volume set (3 book) set. The price was very reasonable! It worked out to $50/set. I had priced these out at a local store and it was nearly double that for each set.They were shipped quickly! I was supposed to get them on a Monday but they were delivered a few days earlier and (Friday) so I got to enjoy them over the weekend. The colours are so beautiful. I made a colour chart to get familiar with the colours. I love the names of the colours!I'm going to have so much fun with these.Thank you so much!
