Rice country mosquitos (Asian tiger mosquitos) are terrible here. I live in the woods, quite a few rice fields down the road and around our property, and a creek connecting to a large reservoir across from us all add up to us kissing out going outside at night or even in the evening. We have two timer sprayers, one by each door, that spray flying insect killer ever 15 minutes. Our carport and deck no longer have bugs collecting there. We spray permithryn and malathon (i'm sure neither is spelled right) around the yard and still every single night we find outselves searching our house with flashlights to find those cursed blood suckers.While shopping for Primeday 2016 I came across this and figured "Amazon has a great return policy if it doesn't work". Its a simple device, small night light and a 12v computer style 80mm fan and a plastic one way in style trapping bowl under it. I expected little from the device as most pest control cheap devices are really just a scam.1st night I put it in our daughters room and we checked like we do every night for tiny, vampirec lawn darts and went to bed. To my supprise this morning the thing had 5 mosquitos in it. Thats at least 5 less bites we got through the night. Some of these demonic pests will bites several times near the same spot as you move or twitch during its blood extraction.So to wrap things up, I'm glad I bought this and will buy another in blue for the boys room. However this item can be found elsewhere for a few bucks cheaper. If Amazon stocked the blue with Prime shipping though I'd already have it on the way.

We got this more for the night light capabilities than anything else. It is certainly an effective night light. The light is blue, so not super bright or invasive while the kids are sleeping. It is also exactly the color pictured. The little fan motor is very quiet. We can't even hear it unless everything in the room is absolutely silent (which is never). The other day I opened up the bottom and there were two mosquito bodies in there. I had forgotten that it was also serving that purpose. We are very happy with the product and would definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

I just received this. The first thing that I noticed is that the actual unit looks like it's been used for over a year. The plastic is scuffed, the base is bit dirty. At least the unit works.Most of the reviews here comment on how cute the light is, how its stylish, etc. But few people actually state as to whether or not it actually attracts and catches mosquitoes (because that's the point right?)Going to thoroughly test this out to see if it works, but just based on the condition that I got this in, I'm pretty skeptical and may have to return this.UPDATE: Ok...so after using for this after 1 week, some of the LED's stopped working. BUT it actually caught some mosquitoes even with only 2 LED bulbs on. So I was proven wrong about the item. The fan is a little loud, although the white noise is fine. Airflow is actually pretty strong. I wish the cord could be a little longer, but all in all it works. I'm ordering a replacement instead of returning it outright.Overall, decent product, and yes....it does make a good night light for the kids. Also, exercise caution with this. There isn't a lock that will keep you from opening the base when the fan is in operation, so it could injure curious little fingers.

We got these as we live near a lake and had a constant flow of mosquito's coming into our Apt and biting us at night, our apt. kindly sent out letters explaining these were "Blind" none biting mosquito's but the bumps my spouse and I have every morning begged to differ. I use to spend about a hours time before bed hunting and killing a dozen or so mosquito's each night the picture shows 1 month after buying this unit and the second picture is 3 months.

I was not sure how well this item was going to work. I have a very bad mesquito issue around my house and they would sneak in everytime thr front door was open. Eventually I realized my aquatic turtle tank was a perfect breeding area for them inside my house. I decide on this product because the idea of the zapping one scared me with my other pets. I didn't want my cat or dogs noses zapped, lol. These attract the mesquitos with a blue light. Then basically dties them out. I was amazed when I opened up the trap and found tons of them dead inside. I would recommend this to anyone who has issues with mesquitos indoors.

BEST MOSQUITO CATCHER HANDS DOWN! This thing works really well. I live on a lake and the mosquitos are horrible. Finally got tired of being bitten.Actually bought two different styles. This one for $13 is by far the better of the 2. Ive attached photos that show how many i killed in my apartment within 24 Hours. Pulled it out of the box, plugged it in beside my bed and WOW. I just bought 2 more.

I bought this product after my daughter complained she had mosquitos in her bedroom. I wasn't to sure this product would work but boy was I wrong. The first night it was used I was hesitant but in the morning I was pleasantly surprised. There was 9 mosquitos in the bottom of the trap. Every night since it has caught bugs!! This product is fantastic!

Ok, yep I love this already! I plugged it in and within an hour there were bugs trapped in it! I live in Florida and mosquitos are a year round issue, I'm so glad to have found this.There are a couple other simular items on Amazon but i choose this one because it had an electrical cord as opposed to a usb. I don't have to have an adapter to plug this in wherever i want.I like not having more chemicals in my home. I will be buying a more for my home!
