JessEm 05010 Pow-R-Tek Remote Power Switch

I have a custom made back to back router table with dust collection from a large dust collector. I installed one on my main router to keep me from reaching under the table to add additional safety. This does exactly what I need. I installed it horizontal just behind the lip of my table rather than vertical and it has worked out great. Easy to use and the switch when on is out of the way enough so that I don’t accidentally turn it off when running. And the case around the switch makes it also harder to accidentally turn it on. I liked it enough I went ahead and bought a second for my other router. Great product. Obviously would buy again.

Generally, I found this product to be incredibly well engineered. It has worked well since I bought the product. It is installed on a Harvey industrial Alpha tablesaw with a routing workstation. To install the product I had to mount it upside down for best configuration - as shown in the photos. My only recommendation for Jessem is to stick on the sticker after they have determined there, mounting orientation.

Pricey but it was all that I had to choose from when the switch I had wanted on Amazon was no longer available. It was easy to mount to my table and has perfomred flawless. The only thing is I wish I had not mounted it so high on the leg of my table.

Product is incredibly solid and has a good weight to it. Seems to work great so far.

Added this switch to the router table I built. It's easy enought to attach, and a nice addition. I didn't want a switch that I would have cut a recess into the cabinet to mount the switch. I was able to mount this switch easily on the outside. Knocked it star, only because it was it bit spendy as compared to other switches/price. I'm really happy with it though.

Must have for jessem table. Does what it's supposed to. Way overpriced for what it is, but you spend major money on a table you want the matching accessory that mounts properly to the table. I was disappointed this wasn't in box with the table.. not easy to flip the router on yourself under that table due to the mounting bracket so its sort of mandatory especially for safety reasons, wish they included it with table but someome will grumble that they just unplug the extension cord when they are done and dont need a fancy safety switch.

I liked the price and quality. I built a Paulk inspired workbench with a router insert and wanted a power switch that would not stick out past the 3/4" Plywood sides, by mounting this from the inside the switch is about flush with the plywood. Sure beats reaching in to try and find the on off switch on the router...came in handy a few times when I needed a quick shut down.
