Let me preface this review with the fact that I am mostly a still photographer and don't shoot much video. However, the times I needed to shoot a short video, this mic came through like a trooper. Shot videos of a candidate for congress and the audio was fantastic. Very clear, no distortion. Great directional mic. The product also came with a wind sock which also functioned quite well.I had no problems mounting and connecting this to my nikon D750I recommend shooting a short test before the main event to make sure you have all your settings correct.

Overall a good mic that works well when mounted on top of a camera or camcorder. Powered for many hours with an internal AA battery so no drain on the camera. Switches to adjust the dB output so as not to overdrive the camera's preamp which is important for sound quality. Neutral sound with this mic. Also has a high pass filter so you can filter out excessive noise in the low end of an environment.Signal output is excellent and results in far less noise than if using either the camera's internal mics or a less expensive external mic. This is one of the best camera mount mic I have found for sells for less than $700 and this one works well without a special mount and so is more compact and easier to setup in the field.The foam screen is very tight and doubt it will last if removed often. The furry windshield is very cheaply made and sheds hair like crazy - like a dead cat if you will, and far from ideal for use with a camera. Replace the terrible windscreen with the standard one sold by Audio-Technica and you will have a real winner.
