When I got my hori hori knife, it came with a vinyl sheath that worked for a while. Because the knife is so sharp along its sides, it started to cut into the soft vinyl, and before long the sheath became to damaged to use safely. So, I got this leather one to replace it. This sheath fits the knife perfectly, and is durable enough to withstand the constant rubbing against the sharp sides. Fits my needs perfectly.

Recently bought a hori hori knife…NOT by AM Leonard. The sheath that came with it was junk. After four uses it literally fell apart. I then purchased this sheath and it’s perfect! Thick tough leather. It will last longer than the knife. Wish I had bought the AM Leonard knife with sheath in the first place. Thought I was saving money…but alas, you get what you pay for.

If you have an AM Leonard Garden Knife you absolutely need to get this sheath. Makes using the knife so much easier since you don't have to worry about losing it after you put it down or, worse yet, stabbing yourself by carrying it in a pocket.Excellent quality leather - thick and sturdy. Double stitched seams with several rivets to add strength. My favorite feature is the metal clip - you can clip it pretty much anywhere (I keep it clipped to my Bucket Boss tool organizer, but it also clips easily to a pocket, belt, etc.). Makes it much easier to use.It's stiff, so it takes a while for the leather to stretch out to accommodate the knife. While I haven't used it with other knifes, I think it could work well for other brands of Hori Hori knives, and not just for the AM Leonard version.

I bought this sheath for my Hori Hori (Japanese garden knife). It is made of thick, top grain leather that is a little stiff when it is new. I have been using it for a few months now and it has become a little more flexible and has molded to my hori hori. It has a metal clip that you can use to put it on or take it off of your belt or waist line. It also has slots in it that allow you to mount it to your belt. The stitching looks very good and it has reinforcing rivets. I think the price for this item is very reasonable. A sheath like this should last a very long time with proper care.

This is a solid, functional, leather sheath. It fits our hori-hori well, and has a sturdy clip.

I bought this rather interesting tool for my wife after she asked me (to my horror) if she could use one of my fine kitchen knives in her garden to cut some roots. This three in one tool is now part of her ensemble whenever she ventures out to her garden - which is almost daily. It acts as a small shovel, a knife (for those roots, I suppose) and a saw of some sort. It seems that every trip to the garden demands at least one use of this device.Highly recommended by proxy.
