Works as expected for iPhone 8
This works as designed. I got the Qubii Duo version with USB-A end. I recommend that you watch a video first before trying this on my own. After inserting a microSD card, stacking, and downloading the Qubii Pro app the very first download took over 2hrs (for an iPhone 8). After the initial backup, I tested the readability of the card and images backed up on a PC. The pictures get new filenames but you are still able to determine when the photos were taken based on the filename. Also tested taking new photos and verified Qubii app was able to determine the new ones to backup. Verified again by reading the card on a PC. This is definitely a great item to have especially since Samsung and iPhone want you to pay for cloud storage of photos. Great value in terms of quality, and cost saving benefit.

If Holds what they say, would be nice
I supposedly downloaded all my 15,000 photos/videos from my phone. It said it would do more than what I have. But after the whole download there was only showing over 2,000. I contacted them & did what I was asked but still only shows the same amount. If they are there I can’t find them

Do not order for iphone
I was excited when it ordered this thinking I would finally get them photos off my iphone. But , I could. Not get it to plug into my power plug the way that the advertised item said that I could. So...do not order this for iphone 7. It will not work.

A very nifty back-up solution, but you'll need some items on hand before you can use it...
THINGS YOU'LL NEED THAT ARE NOT INCLUDED:----------------------------------------------------------1. Your own micro SD card, up to 2tb.2. A power adapter that has a usb-c port. The Qubii will be plugged into this adapter.3. A usb-c to usb-c cable. To connect from the Qubii to the usb-c port of your Android phone.4. A usb-c to Apple lightning if you'll be using an iPhone.SOME NOTEWORTHY INFO:---------------------------------* This is a good idea, now that Google Photos is no longer unlimited.* It basically backs-up every folder that has an image. There doesn't seem to be a way to choose which folders you want it to back-up. I only need my main camera folder to get backed-up, but oh well, backing up too much is better than too little.* Once you disconnect from power adapter, you can use the Qubii as OTG storage. You'll need to turn on OTG storage in your system settings. If you have a case on your phone, you'll probably never bother to use it as OTG because you'll need to remove the case.* Every time you want to transfer files to your PC, NAS, etc., you'll need to remove the micro sd card if your pc doesn't have a usb-c port. My PC does not, so I use a usb to usb-c adapter. This eliminates the hassle of having to take out micro sd cards, dealing with card readers, etc.* After you transfer everything safely to your pc, if you delete the files on the micro SD card to clear space, the Qubii still maintains its count. So even if these files are still on your phone, it will not re-download them again. In conclusion, how accurate and precise this system is remains to be seen. So far, it has backed up everything I need it to. I know people complain of missing files, not everything getting backed-up, etc. Most of these complaints revolves around people using iPhones. But we'll see, time will tell. As of now, this is 5-Stars!

It works, but it's pricey
This little cube is just the holder of the micro SD card (which is NOT included, unless you pay extra $30) which you connect between your phone's charging cord and the power source. It then works with the app you have to download to your phone to copy all your pictures and videos to the SD card. To me, the current price of $65, without the card, is very expensive for some software which basically copies files from your phone to the card. If you want the pics/videos somewhere else, say, a PC or laptop, you'll have to move them manually. The app stays active constantly on your phone, rather than just when the charging cable is connected. Having said that, the software does work. It automatically downloads and saves pics and videos to the card. This might be the ideal solution for someone not savvy enough to download data from their phone, or for those who take a huge amount of pics, and just want the whole process automated for them.

Works well, expensive
This backup device works well enough, but it's hardly original; there have been similar microSD/SD backup units on the market for years, the only difference is that this one requires a cable to connect to the phone or tablet; the others have a built-in Lightning or microUSB port, and a USB-A port. The software works well enough, if you can ignore some bizarre wording and questionable UI choices. It backed up the 6500 pictures and videos on my phone onto my microSD card in about 30 minutes.Once the phone cable is unplugged, the cube can be used as a memory stick. Unfortunately, it's too wide and blocks the adjacent port, which is a serious issue with USB-C machines. It should be redesigned to either limit its width, or come with a pigtail instead of having the USB-C connector directly sticking out of the cube.Overall, works well enough, but there are much cheaper alternatives that work just as well.

Best for iPhone or Pixel, Requires App for Auto Backup
I picked this up for my mom to use with her iPhone to back up her pictures. The process to use this is pretty simple once it is plugged in. Personally I only see this as making sense for iPhone or Pixel phones which don't have SD card slots. We had to install an app to get it to "auto backup" when the device is plugged in. Without an app it appears as a drive (at least on my Android phone, on iOS its a bit different but also not very useful) so basically the app is required and then it copies the pictures over to the device. Depending on how many pictures we have since the last backup it can take quite a while to process everything. The cube itself is much bigger than the phone so the phone won't sit flat on a desk anywhere while doing this; personally I think a little extension being included would have been nice so it can be left on the desk. Otherwise it does work as intended.
