This doll is really worth the hype! My first child was a natural sleeper, and with a little help here and there, he was sleeping through the night at five months. Then we had another baby...my younger one has had a hard time sleeping since birth. We spent tons of money on a fancy sleep consultant, read all the sleep books, tried some sleep training and finally resorted to cosleeping and were still dealing with 4-6 wake-ups a night at 14 months (and often much worse). We've had this for a couple of weeks now and it is helping our whole family to get some sleep. My toddler seems to really like his "baby" and we've been finding him snuggling it in his crib (and this morning he wanted to carry it around with him). The doll arrived quickly -- a week sooner than anticipated and was packed well. It takes 3 AAA batteries and you'll need a tiny screwdriver to change them. Expect to change the batteries around once a week. The volume is really appropriate -- not too loud, although it is not adjustable. The doll has a loop that you can use to attach it to the crib of a young baby. Since my toddler is 14 months, he sleeps with it in his crib. It's really soft and washable. The heartbeat sound is so realistic. The breathing kind of sounds like Darth Vader or a prank call, but it's quiet and I got used to it. It really just sounds like someone else sleeping in the room. I've been really impressed with how helpful this doll has been...much more so than some of the other soothers we bought (like the VTech hippo). We've had a preference for gentler methods with sleep training and up until now, little success, but this has been a great tool. I wish we'd had this since he was a newborn! It would be great if you could buy an extra doll without a sound box. I can see that my toddler is attaching to this and would love to carry it around, but at this price, it's not a lovey we're likely to bring out of the house and risk losing it.

I went back and forth on this doll so many times. I had poured so much money into things that didn't work to help my 2 year old sleep independently.After a particularly difficult week, I bought this at 4 AM. My daughter loved it from the minute I brought it over to her.She has horrible nightmares and is TERRIFIED to sleep alone. It has been about 6 months of no sleep for any of us. She went from sleeping 13 hrs a night to 30 min to 1 hr stretches before she woke up screaming.We went to her pediatrician and a child psych who just said she'd grow out of it. Meanwhile, we were doing anything we could for her to sleep.Enter: Lulla DollThe night before I introduced this, I slept 0 hours. My daughter slept a handful of very interrupted hours. The first night, she woke up fewer times but still screaming. The night after, she woke up 3 times and didn't scream but still asked me to sit with her til she fell asleep. The next night, she only woke up once.Instead of it taking hours to get her to fall asleep, she snuggles her doll and is out in under 10 minutes every night.It isn't a perfect fix as we still have rough nights, but they are nothing compared to pre Lolla days.Also, I really thought this doll would be creepy. It's actually incredibly soothing. I almost want one for myself.

Initially bought for our infant who was going through a rough patch sleeping and it seemed to help, however since toys in the crib are a big no no, we have it just outside her crib and it was easier just to pull out the sound box and operate that way.We’ve always struggled with our four year old sleeping as well and she was super excited to get a baby who could breath and had a heartbeat! Of course we had to buy hers clothes too and bought the JC toys 16 inch purple Romper and it fit well, she loves the hat. We actually have plans to sew some jersey knit yarn hair onto hers because she likes playing with it as she falls asleep. I’ll try to update photos if we do. Hers has already been washed but held up well.So last night the 2 year old was having trouble falling asleep and I let him borrow his sister’s Lulla doll and it worked! Maybe we need another one in blue.Why it lost a star: tricky to on and off, you have to hold it for a few seconds and sometimes it’s hard to get off and ends up breathing all day. Also the volume control is strange, it’s just one button you tap to toggle through three different volumes but it’s hard to tell what setting you are on as the doll breathes, I wish there was just a switch you could set it to and be done with it. I also wish they sold the sound box separately.Update - I did get one for my 2.5 year old son and he loves it. He calls it “baby“ and loves talking about it’s eyes, ears, etc. I’ve snuck in to check on him at night And he’s hugging it. He used to only sleep with one favorite animal, now he is making sure this doll is in bed with him every night too. It was especially useful as he was just sick and I think it was very calming to him. He has a couple other dolls in his room but has really latched on to this one.

I first purchased this product when it was first released back in 2016. We bought it for my daughter at 5 months old who had colic and reflux. Within a week or two of having her "Lula" by her side, she started sleeping completely through the night. My daughter is now 3 and a half and will not go anywhere without her Lula. She asked for the Coral one for christmas this year. We just received it and it looks amazing. We are soo excited to continue having a Lula in our house. Its well made, lasts forever and has provided great comfort for my daughter. I am very pleased with the product and glad I purchased it years ago.

Tengo una hija de 2 años que le costaba mucho dormir. Compramos la muñeca Lulla doll por qué nos la recomendaron para relajarla. La verdad nos ha ido súper bien. El latido del corazón y respiración le relajan un montón y se duerme, además va todo el día con la muñeca. ¡Nos dormimos hasta los padres! Genial.

This product is absolutely brilliant. My baby is so affectionate with it - and she has never had a favourite toy before, but she’s obsessed with cuddling it. It is made from very soft fabric, it does retain a comforting scent for the baby. I have used other sound machines before, but this one mimics a sleeping person the best. Overall, it is the next-best-thing to lying beside your baby as they sleep. It has significantly improved her sleep. She wakes up less and is easier to soothe back to sleep when she does. She is one year old but I wish I’d purchased this earlier.Some reviewers are complaining that this doll is a risk for SIDS - but that’s not true. There is a strap which the manufacturer recommends you use to attach the doll to the crib before the baby turns one.
