I have several ~2015 era Macbook Pro chargers and an Apple Thunderbolt Display. All of these have MagSafe and they were all made obsolete when I switched to a newer Macbook with USBC power ports. This adapter is exactly what I needed to make those devices worthwhile again.It works perfectly so far. The magsafe cord’s green light comes on when the adapter is receiving power. My MacBook reports receiving 60w of power from the Thunderbolt Display, which is more than enough for the M1 MacBook Pro.The adapter does stay warm while the computer sleeps, so there is probably some residual power draw. But honestly that is less concerning to me than having to buy multiple new power adapters.I couldn’t guess how long the adapter will last under daily use. The warranty is for 18 months. The device is certified by USB-IF and the manual lists all of the specific voltages & amperages it supports for a given MagSafe charger input wattage (45, 60, 87, or Apple display). This at least provides some assurance that it is not doing weird things with power levels.I’m happy. I only wish I’d found it sooner.

Exactly what I've been looking for to be able to re-purpose my 2 MagSafe chargers from my MBP 18 (wish they still offered the MBP 18 :-). It charged my MBP 13 (2016) very fast with no problems. As a few have mentioned, the connector became a little warm while charging but my original USB-C MAC charger actually becomes much hotter when charging, it's really NOT a problem. It was warm to the touch but NOT burning hot in my experience. EXCELLENT product with quality materials and packaging. I loved the first one so much I purchased a second one for my other charger and would highly recommend.

This one works and lasts!!! A lot of them dont work. Worth the price

Worked beautifully at first and was extremely impressed! I've had it almost exactly one year and it just stopped working suddenly. Which is disappointing. But, it honestly worked so well I'd consider just buying it again and hoping that was a fluke.

Even out of the box, only works some of the time. Especially when I had powered USB devices connected to the computer, the charging would stop and the adapter would get almost too hot to touch. Unfortunately, I waited too long to return, so am now stuck with a piece of trash!

Once you've had the luxury of leaving your charging cable in your travel drawer...you never want to be forced to drag it around with you again, even if you have an old monitor (A1407) and a newer (but not newest) laptop with only USB-C and no Magsafe. The beauty, ease and simplicity of charging your laptop on the monitor can't be overstated. It's one of the things I love about Apple. So of course I got this adapter since I'm now in said situation.As some other reviewers said, it doesn't stay stuck all that well. BUT if you buy a $9.99 gadget (adapter) from the Apple store, it sticks beautifully and the magnet is nice and solid. It's the Magsafe to Magsafe 2 adapter, pictured.The other white adapter (besides this Elecjet) is the USB-C to Lightning. But it's nice that these two white adapters are all I need to have snaking out of my laptop. The monitor also has four more "regular" USB slots on the back, which means I don't need another adapter for the laptop to use "regular" or "old fashioned" peripherals with it, and my laptop doesn't look like an octopus when taken off the monitor and carried into another room or used outside.Pretty slick.Hope this is useful.

This item is a little bit more expensive than similar product. However it last much longer. Few months ago, I had purchased a cheaper version of this from another brand and it stopped working after 1-2 months. This is my second purchase. My previous previous was the black version from 2-3 years ago and it is still working.

I use this every day I wish there were still more of these available I’d like to buy at least 2 or 3 more of them. Please bring them back in stock!

Produto excelente. Consegui voltar a usar os dois carregadores apple do MacBook pro que estavam encostados.Não recomendo o vendedor por não cumprir o anúncio. É uma propaganda enganosa visto que vende com tributos e custos inclusos e depois se exime do pagamento, transferindo ao comprador os custos totais de correio e alfândega.É o único vendedor na Amazon que age assim. Não recomendo comprar nesta empresa.

Dieser Adapter macht genau das, was er soll. Ich nutze ihn für die Nutzung des Stromanschlusses eines älteren Thunderbolt-Displays. Der Adapter kommt zwischen der Dockingstation und einem MacBook Air zum Einsatz. Klappt bestens.

I'm using an Apple Thunderbolt Display with a 2021 16-inch MacBook Pro, and this allows me to make use of the built-in MagSafe power breakout that these monitors come with. As per the specs, in this configuration it says you'll be able to pull 60W, and the system profiler recognises that there is 60W available with this connected. So far I've just started using it with a light load, so we'll see how it goes over time. So far, so good.
