After an attack on Relena's father, Relena is revealed to be in fact, Relena Peacecraft, Princess of the Sanc Kingdom which was crushed years ago when the Alliance took control of Earth. Trowa has taken on the cover working for a circus, while Heero must save Relena from the treacherous Oz and Lady Une. In a well laid plan, Treize, leader of Oz, manipulates the Gundams to foil the Alliance leaders attempt at negotiating a peace with the Colonies. Soon after, Treize declares martial law and Oz takes control of the Earth's government.
