I've Been Missing Out
I got back into sewing recently, and needed some closures for camping chair bags I was making. I could go drawstring, zippers, or in my case, snaps, due to their ease of install. These are super easy to add, and due to their size, hold well.To install, cut a small hole where you want one part to go (scissors work, or you can use an awl), and install the 2 halves of the first side. Align the tool and hammer to set. I made the mistake of hammering too much, which is unnecessary. Just hammer enough until the sound changes to a dull thud. Repeat for the other side and test the snap.I'd recommend sorting the pieces as they just come jumbled in a single bag. I separated the 4 different pieces into 4 bags, with a larger bag to hold those smaller 4 and the tools/instructions.

Not strong enough for my project
I wanted these for a hidden closure on a long hand-knitted cardigan. Sadly, they don't have enough power to hold though one layer of my knitted fabric. I tried placing hem as if they were regular snaps, but they don't always come together or stay together on center, and that does not look nice. The magnets have a shallow dip and the metal piece has a matching lip, but it's too shallow to force proper alignment. So, these aren't a good choice for apparel. If I were using these to close a tote bag, I would not trust one to keep the bag closed. I'd probably use three and make sure the design kept weight distribution on the straps and not where it could pull against the closure

The snaps are great price and sturdy used on boat carpet
However be warned if you have not done snaps it is time consuming and hard on your fingers especially if you are not used to hammering small tedious pieces of meatal. I had 12 snaps to do double fabric for a pull tab. But these are a good sturdy heavy duty snap.

Great replacment for boat cover
Used these snaps to replace my boat cover snaps that broke. Searched around for good reviews and these snaps worked great. The snaps have internal little rings that hold to each other better then the cheeper brands. One thing I noticed is that they only handle 2 layers of canvas in thickness to mount to. The corners of my cover had 3 layers so I had to fold back a layer when I installed them.

Good quality snaps
The included tools are well made, and work well. The rivets flare and round properly. The snaps connect solidly. I can recommend Dritz snaps.

Yes! Just, yes!
Ok, so I bought the horrible dritz"new" design thing that looks like a blue alligator mouth and you hammer on, anyway that is horrible in every way, not to mention expensive. So bad I complained to the company and told the employee at joannes that they needed to stop carrying them. So then my only option was the hand sew ones...yeah those stink too because no matter what they come undone after 2 washes. I was peeved with dritz and nearly wrote them off. Then I found these! I guess I just needed to old style metal hammer one! These things work like a charm and I love them! You get a lot more too than the 4 pack they sell at the store.Dritz, I like you again.
