It will send you to Africa
I bought this book because it reminded me of the time that I spent in Tanzania. The colorful pictures and playful words, both in English and Kiswahili sent me back to Tanzania when I was carrying a baby on my back as well.

Our favorite bedtime story
My 7 year old daughter reads it to her sister and brother (ages 4 and 2) and they are all fascinated. The story has a special rhythm which is almost enchanting. Every word is perfectly placed. Kiswahili wards and colorful, emotion filled illustrations take everyone (including me) to the African village. They all keep asking every night for "Kuu- Kuu" and I happily agree.I highly recommend this book if you want a bedtime story that makes your kids fall asleep and dream of exciting adventures while feeling so secure.

a great book
We really enjoyed this book. When our daughter Pauline (now 7) was a baby we used to carry her a lot in our "babybjoern" (on the front) and it was for both of us (parents and child) a great experience. We will never forget it and we hope and think Pauline will benefit from it a lifetime.Thank you for writing this great book !Machteld

A great safari adventure read
My kids love this book! They especially like the rhyming words and the pictures. It's a great way to share a new culture with them. The basic underlying theme is that a mother's love for her child goes beyond borders...

Safari for Children
What a wonderful way to introduce children to the beautiful Kenyan culture & language! The bond between mother & her children, their adventures on a typical day with Mama - this book makes my heart smile. Illustrations are warm and colorful. Learn some kiSwahili too!
