I absolutely love True Blood season two and the suspense i almost lost the placement of what season as i continue to watch. The seasons fly by like you will never even know your on season four because it pulls you in. Definitely do not want to watch this around kids the sexual content in it is very high but me and my partner always wait for the kids to go to bed so we can enjoy our adult show. If you like vampire diaries and drama filled shows this will be a extra souped up adult show for you to enjoy. I think the whole sookie thing is even more intense but in my own mind kinda funny since she is always the girl who needs to be saved but try's saving everyone else herself. The way i don't want to put any detail in anything because it takes all the joy out of being able to watch yourself and help make it much more exciting for your expectations. Enjoy a great show and be prepared for a great new show just for you adults or even you parents who have to watch cartoons all day.

Crazy about this show!
Can't help it. Was hooked on this show when it started on HBO and started watching this series over again. A bit on the hokey side but a great distraction. It goes from interesting to outrageously crazy. The books were really good, the show was a little over done but still worth the time watching. I recommend starting with series 1, episode 1 and watching on from there. You have to follow the series of events to keep up with what's happening.

There is a lot of gratuitous nudity -- thank god.
I liked season 1 well enough, but by the end of season 2, things just got silly, and then descended from there as the show went along its long, slow march to the final episode of the final season. The show remained visually exciting and well made. What was charming and quirky in season 1 soon turned to ludicrous and absurd. I'm all about the suspension of disbelief. If you tell me there are vampires - great, I believe it. If you tell me there are werewolves - very well. If you tell me there are werewolves that want to have sex with fairies who like having sex with vampires who are half fairy? Okay, I guess. There are so many gaping plot holes and flaws in the show's own logic about the world they created that it gets to the point where one can't possibly care what the hell happens next because it could be absolutely anything for no reason at all.I tried reading the books and had a similar reaction. The first book is great but then they are progressively less compelling and imaginative, substituting stunt for wit and sex for charm.

Not as good as the first season but worth a watch
I have never read the Charlaine Harris books that this show is based off of even though it seems like something that would be in my library. I found season two to be a bit off the trail that season one was. I would have loved to learn more about the Dallas vamps. The MaryAnn story line seemed to drag forever. The Jason and the Fellowship of the Light story line showed more about what goes on in Jason's head and by the end of the season, though he's a simpleton, you realize that he is loyal and has a very good heart. Godric. Why did they let me fall in love with Godric? I am so glad that this season explored a bit more of what was going on with Tara too. All in all, I didn't enjoy this season nearly as much as I enjoyed the first season, I think they filled it with fluff but it does keep you in touch and intrigued with the characters and eager to see what is going to happen next.

As good as Season 1
I loved the first few seasons of True Blood. I'm about a generation removed from the backwoods, and the metaphors are strong but tempered with compassion. The writing is mostly excellent (although I did not enjoy the later seasons as much as the first few, mainly because I felt that some of the characters were written so far into corners that it was unrealistic for them to remain welcome in their communities). The vampire mythology is interesting - far more complex than the sparkly series or the chronicles - and the regulars AND the guest stars give thoroughly solid performances. Worth watching all the way through.

True Blood Season Two is a Real Winner
This is my second time around on the True Blood series. I never really thought of myself as a fan of the vampire genre, but True Blood totally changed all that. From the fabulous intro sequence, with it's great country music track, I was hooked. I never get tired of the intro. The perky and irrepressible character Sookie Stackhouse, played by Anna Paquin, is just as cute as a button, but she also has a real tough streak that you just have to admire and love. Stephen Moyer's character, vampire Bill, is a pure delight. He is the epitomy of the civil-war-era southern gentleman -- and a vampire. What a great combo. The supporting cast are all stellar as well. There is plenty of romantic interest as well as downright smokin' love scenes. It was a cable show to begin with, right? So not for the kiddies. It is interesting to note that Paquin was the second youngest Academy Award winner of all time -- at least as of the time she got the award -- beaten only by Shirley Temple. There is also plenty of action and of course gore galore laced with big, big helpings of laugh-out-loud humor. If you have a pulse, I can't see how you would not love this series. Season two is every bit as good as season one if not better -- and is a real winner.

Macht süchtig weil so großartig (BluRay)

Einfach empfehlenswert!

Second season is just as good...
Couldn't wait for the second season to come on DVD and I finally got it!!! I finally know what happened to Lafayette (my favorite character) and all the happy gang in Bon Temps. Can't wait for the third season to come out on DVD. (In case you're wondering, I don't get the channel the show plays on and I couldn't wait for the French version to play on regular TV...). Love it love it love it!!!

True Blood Season 2
This season - not as great as the first but still well done! If you have read the books the stray quite far from the plot of the books in this series. The whole "Maryanne" part is a little odd and I didn't enjoy it all that much. Just ordered the third season as general concensus is that the third season is awesome with the introduction of the Were's. Still very well done and interesting and definitely not for kids!
