OtterboxSTRADA SERIES Case for iPhone Xs Max - Retail Packaging - SHADOW (BLACK/PEWTER)

As my phone has glasss protector, the case came a bit tight. Nevertheless, still a very good case for clumsy ones like me.

I'm a big fan of Otterbox phone covers. It's the company I always turn to as I know their products feel nice to handle, are good quality and provide just about the best protection possible without being too bulky.

I thought OtterBox was supposed to be a quality product. I remember having an OtterBox case years ago and it was well made. This, however, is garbage. Seriously, I have a cheap leather flip case for my android which cost about $10 and it is WAY above this in every regard.1. The "leather" is a thin layer on top of hard, cheap plastic, so it is plastic that folds over.2. It doesnt really fold over that well, it kinda does, but it doesn't really reach the magnet unless you shove it into place, but the it wants to ease back so that there is a gap between the right edge and the case bottom. It is plastic and has no give to close properly.3. When it is "mostly closed" the cover is also at an angle, so there's an additional gap top right and bottom left.(--Yes, I do have the correct case for the correct iphone model. This review is for the case that is supposed to fit iPhone XS Max.--)4. Over the last 9 years worth of phones and cases, (at least 40+ cases) this case was not only the poorest and cheaply made case I've bought, but was also the most difficult to remove. (and I couldn't remove the damn thing fast enough)5. The button implementation for the left side volume buttons, are slightly raised onto the outer leather-plastic flip case and there are no supporting nubbins on the back portion that your phone fits very snugly into, so there for you have to mash down in order to press through the hard plastic flip cover AND the hard shell that wraps around your phone edge, and maybe you mash hard enough to take a screenshot or adjust volume up and down at the same time or you mash just right, hard enough in just the right area, and maybe you get lucky and adjust the correct button and that button only, but don't count on repeat luck, and don't try it if you have carpal tunnel.FUNCTIONAL SCORE: Crap-LOOKS SCORE: D+

I have Strada with same color for my past 3 phones. They all last with the duration I have the phones.The pocket inside the cover holds 3 standard cards (credit card, transit card and building entry card) while keeping the cover fit well.I dropped it in water once and proofed the water-resistance feature.It also stands both ways well by itself.If you need a flip cover phone case, this would be the champion.
