Gave this to my 84 year old mother who has advanced Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. She's very much a dog person and misses not being able to have a dog of her own these days. She was absolutely delighted with her new friend, this is the happiest I've seen her for a very long time. This golden retriever puppy interactive toy seems to be well made, it comes with batteries inserted and ready to use. He's very cute and engaging, the way he turns his head moves his eyes, woofs and wags his tail enchanted my mother.

I bought this for my elderly mother who would like a dog, but couldn't cope with actually looking after one. She is on her own and doesn't have dementia, but he has become her companion. She enjoys talking to 'wags' and his responses to make her laugh. She feels that she has a friend and it encourages her to use her voice.

This product is probably a little more expensive than it should be, and I nearly returned it because of that, but thank goodness I didn't. It is 100% worth it for the pleasure it's giving my 90 year old mum who has dementia. She forgets she has visitors, so feels lonely a lot of the time, but having this little companion (who she sometimes thinks is real!) has improved her mood no end. Would definitely recommend, as it is without doubt, the best thing we have bought in ages!

I bought this dog for my husband, as he has dementia and misses his dog so much. We all think it is wonderful.There is one problem - changing the batteries. There was no instruction about the screwdriver to use. It is a case of trial and error. It needs new batteries again-. Please supply me with a suitable screwdriver. I bought this for my mum, who has Alzheimers. I wasn't sure about it but it has turned out to be a great buy. She absolutely loves this little dog. Although my mum is aware that the dog isn't real, she treats it almost as if it was. She even tries to feed it sometimes. Most importantly, it really does act as a companion for her. She talks to it, strokes it, takes it to bed. I'm really glad I got it for her.

I got this for my elderly mother in law, who has early dementia and misses having a real dog. This battery operated toy dog is really cute, it barks, pants, wags it's tail, turns its head, blinks its eyes, and is very realistic looking. My mother in law absolutely loves it, and strokes and talks to it. The batteries have lasted a month before running out, which is good as the dog is left switched on all the time. I can really recommend this for an elderly person, or someone with learning difficulties. Quite expensive but definitely worth it.

I bought this for my Dad who has dementia and recently lost his dog. He absolutely loves it and I think it has been really comforting for him. The dog is really cute and turns it’s head in the direction of your voice. Everybody who sees it loves it.It is expensive but for the pleasure it has brought my Dad well worth the money I spent on it.

Got this for my six year old for Christmas, she wanted a real puppy. She is going to absolutely adore this, I cannot wait for Christmas morning
