The aesthetic of this knife is beautiful open and closed. The serrated blade is razor sharp and this makes a great every day carry in my pocket or on my belt. You can never go wrong with Spyderco. I own several, my favorite being the all steel cricket.

This is an impressive knife. It is well made, extremely sharp, and is the perfect weight for its size. In addition to everyday knife tasks, I plan to use this as a supplemental hunting knife.

I have about about 60 knives. I carry this religiously. This is still one of if not my favorite knife in my collection bar the price. I love this thing. I bought it mainly for sd and every sd purchase has been to get this out of my pocket but all have failed. Being fully serrated it limits what applications it can be used for but the ones it can be used for it slays. Boxes, rope, hose, carpet, even wood...light work. Many people don't like hawk bills because they are trying to sharpen. Serrated blades for the same reason. Its not difficult at all. Came razor sharp and built like a tank. I bought it as a secondary for sd but I have found enough ways to use it as a edc. I do wish there was a way of changing the scales but its finished pin constructed. For a better grip i do suggest putting a second clip on the opposite side, makes a world of difference. I also added gimpping to the back of the blade and the butt of the handle, huge difference. If there is anything i would change, i wish it had the handle length of the delica.It is an automatic attention getter. I can pair it with a "nicer" more expensive knife yet everyone always wants to play with the harpy (especially the ladies, don't ask why just go with it). I opted for next day delivery because I didnt believe that Amazon would actually get it here but amazingly it was here in less than 24 hours (like 10 actually). If you're thinking of getting one get it, you'll love it. I've bought 3 and am sure i will get another.

The Spyderco is a knife that is for boatmen. It cuts rope, strings, lines, boxes, and other plastic items with ease. It is a thick blade with some strong and easy to sharpen VG-10 steel as well. The stainless steel handle on this blade is crafted as one solid piece of steel, eliminating the need for screws to hold the apparatus in place. The length closed is, 3.875" (98 mm), cutting edge, 2.563" (65 mm), and the weight is 3.9 oz. There are number of openings throughout the framework of the blade (preventing water from accumulating in the handle), as this knife was designed for naval use (cutting rope, and netting). In addition, this knife makes a formidable self defense weapon.The blade on this knife is the knife's best attribute (as it should be). It is crafted from VG-10 steel which is a high end "super steel". VG-10 has vanadium which gives it extra toughness. This steel holds an edge really well. It is also very rust resistant. It has a carbon content of 0.95-1.05%. I have personally owned high end blades with ATS 34 steel which is the japanese version of the american made 154 CM steel. These blades do not hold an edge as long as the VG-10. The blade on the harpy is probably the sharpest blade I've had out of the box. Lastly, the shape/sharpness of this blade allows you to cut through seat belts, rope, and like objects effortlessly. This knife is built to last.

i recently lost track of my spyderco stainless knife and decided that it was somewhere in my condo.as i was trying to fly to germany, TSA found it, and, because i was short on time, confiscated it.i settled on this design as a replacement and i'm really enjoying the ease of use and smaller blade size.unfortunately, i lost track of it, despite my best efforts, and had to order another one as a replacement.within two weeks of the new arrival, i found the original- i had clipped it to the outside of my pants pocket and descended the folding stairs to my attic. the damn clip perfectly caught the stairs superstructure and i found the knife hanging there when i went to get the holiday decorations.so now i have two.which is handy, because i'll inevitably lose track of one of the damn things.in any case, it's solidly made, stays sharp, cuts things that you'd like to have cut, and the clip works almost too well.i would buy (a third) if necessary.

Desde hace mucho tiempo la tenía en la mira ya que es una de las hojas usadas por Hanibal Lecter pero no me decidía a comprarla ya que era muy cara. La mantuve en mi lista de deseos por al menos 2 años hasta que un día recibí una notificación en la que se veía que había bajado de precio, ¡me costó menos del 30% del precio original!La navaja es genial, la hoja es super afilada, la sensación y el peso en la mano son más que correctos y aunque fue creada para ambientes marítimos la he usado en el campamento. Es una hoja super divertida de usar y con una potencia de corte endiablada. El Dr. Lecter si que tiene buen gusto en filos.
