Best money I've spent in YEARS!
I've had my eye on this jacket for a few months now, wanting to replace the one I outgrew in the late 1980s, and I finally pulled the trigger on it because 1) I really need riding leather, 2) the price is lower than that of my original one bought some 35+ years ago, and nothing is getting cheaper, only more expensive, and 3) the weather will be starting to turn chilly here fairly soon. I am thrilled I did!The leather is pretty thick, at least thicker than I thought it would be. It'll stave off any road rash if I should ever take a spill, and that's what it's for, so good on that. All of the zippers are sound and of decent quality. I'll be sure to use some wax or chapstick on them before I start wearing the jacket, though. Armor I could've cared less about, but it there and seems to be of good quality. It's just some thin padding and looks like it can be removed, so I guess I'll leave it in unless it cause problems. Nice liner, and that zips out, too. Kudos!Size, haha! I'm an XL, but I bought a 3X just to be sure it fit after reading some of the other reviews. I figured, if it's even big on me, all the better. I can wear extra layers underneath it, because I ride early in the year and way late into fall, even winter time if the roads are good. Well, 3X fits me like it was made for me, and that's just fine with me. Just know ahead of time, buy TWO sizes up!Oh, and lastly, not a deal killer at all, but... the zipper is for females. The zipper pull is on the wrong side for a men's jacket. It'll take some getting used to, but I have a German Flecktarn parka that has it this way, too. For a jacket THIS nice, and for such a good price, I'll deal with it!I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone wanting good leather.

Great jacket for the cost, but order big they run small.
Pretty good for a leather jacket, great leather jacket for the value. Materials seem solid, zipper sticks a bit but after running some bee wax on it slides fine, seems to be for a left handed person. CE pads are a bit out of place but can be adjusted pretty easily, I just removed mine as I intend to turn this into a "Battle Jacket" if you will.I normally wear a size XXL, ordered the 4X and it is the exact size it needs to be. Fits like a glove. Note I am 6'3" 230lbs with a 50" chest and a 38" waist. So if you are ordering this I would suggest buying it maybe 1-2 sizes larger than what you normally wear or it will be super small.

It seems okay at first, but very quickly, the quality shows as poor.
At first I really like this jacket, it has a really nice style and has built in armor and YKK zippers, but after less than eight months, the quality has really started to show as being poor. It is developed, rips and tears in a few random spots, including on one of the arms where it folds a little bit. As well as the zippers are getting harder and harder to move, it's becoming near impossible for me to zip up the front of the jacket by myself at this point. It is also developing white fatty secretions across different parts of the jacket. I have never been down in this jacket, and at this point, I'm kind of afraid that it will just rip apart and not protect me at all if I did hit the ground. Using leather products and taking good care of it actually seem to extend the life by a couple of months. But I feel without doing any of that.It might have only lasted two or three months, instead of eight. Comparing all this to a very similar jacket that a friend of mine got a year earlier from a different maker, it is clear the difference in quality. His still looks brand new and mine looks like it's ten years old.

Order AT LEAST 2 Sizes Larger
The ordering can be confusing. I saw others say order two sizes larger, so I (XL) saw where the option was 2x-3x. Silly me, that means, apparently, 2x and 3x-4x means 3x ... or ... something? Yeah, I dunno.Anyway, the jacket arrived and it's pretty nice. It seems well-made. It's 2x, if that wasn't clear above, which makes it barely an XL in real life sizes. It fits me, but almost like a shirt rather than a jacket; not much give. However, as I bought it for actual protection on a motorcycle and not style that's fine. I don't want the armored parts moving around if I happen to get a sudden lesson in physics involving asphalt. The armor pads seem a bit thin, but gotta be better than not having them. They are easily removed and replaced, too as they age or if you want tougher ones. I gotta think it might fit a touch better without them, too, but again, they're the whole purpose I bought this, so they're staying in.As others noted, it's kinda short, sits right at my waist, but then almost every motorcycle jacket of this style I've ever worn fits thusly. In any case, it protects what I bought it to protect, so good on them. The liner is easily removed (and made it fit a little better). It might or might not go back in for cold weather, depending on how this jacket fits over thick clothes. The "concealed carry pocket" is just a pocket with a velcro flap, one on each side of the liner, only on the left side of the jacket its self. You can CCW a pack of gum, maybe a small notebook, but for anything ... "louder" IF it fits and doesn't rip through the thin material, getting to it in a hurry isn't happening. Don't buy this as a CCW option except as any other bit of cover garment (remembering it's a wee bit short, too).Yeah, the zippers are tough at first, but they seem very, very stout and well made, so that's actually a good sign. Mine got easier after being zipped a few times and I'm pretty sure some wax or such will make it better yet. Oh, and as noted by others, the zipper is "backwards" (tab inserted from the right) but meh, so what? All that said, the jacket LOOKS GOOD! The leather seems of good quality, the manufacturing is seems good, and especially for the price I can't complain. When you first get it, all folded up T-shirt style and likely crammed in your mail-box, hang it up and let it rest. Then wear it around, stretching and moving and give it time to adjust to you while you get used to the (removeable) armor pads. In fairness, too, I'm hard to fit at the best of times (short but muscular, bit like a fireplug, I guess, short waisted, barrel chested, wide-shouldered) so ordering anything online is an adventure. Frankly it fits me better than I figured it would. Overall, assuming you get the sizing right and know how to take care of a leather jacket, I don't think you'll regret buying this.
