Biriba wood possesses a few characteristics that make it ideal for building berimbaus: strength and flexibility with resistence. This unique combination give it the ability to be bent and strung with enough resistence to keep the wire taut and produce a full, solid sound. All berimbaus are shipped pre-married and complete with an arame, baqueta, caixixi, stone dobrão, and matching cabaça. Berimbaus not shipped assembled to maintain the integrity of the Biriba Wood. Some assembly required.

A wonderful berimbau
This is a very nice Gunga. I got it before the estimated time and very well secured. This is a beriba, a pretty caixixi, a baqueta, a stone and the Cabaca gunga. I played it a little bit and the sound is wonderful. I recommend it to all capoeiristas if you need it. I hope the seller keep the amazing service and product as good/nice as how is now.Probably, I will buy another one soon.Regards.

Fun new instrument
I ordered this as an early birthday gift for my son in college. HE LOVES IT! He says it plays very well and is of good quality

Thumbs Down!
Absolutely no instructions on how to tighten the wire. Stone included should have been a flat, coin-like shape... it was just a rock! Finish was amateurish, rough and missing in spots. I do not recommend this berimbau at all!
