I think you could—the only holes are higher on the back for hanging.

I’m sure you could, however, you couldn’t water the plants. I purchased faux flowers to put in mine, and I’ll change them from season to season

Antique white, its definitely not stark white.

Q: Is the vintage black set very black or more like a copper look?

Yes it’s a dark brownish/black copper. Almost like it was copper and painted over with black. I hope the video helps.
