Colors Understated, On the Silvery Side
I like bright colors with a lot of PUNCH to them. I use mica for a lot of uses like resin, makeup, jewelry, and paints. I also use them for soaps and bath products. Let's take a look at this collection.HOW THESE COMEThese mica colors come in plastic zipper topped bags. They are labeled with color names. The box is pretty sturdy so you can keep these in the box for a while without worry of the box falling apart.COLORSThe colors in this collection are on the subdued side. I like colors with a little bit more intensity and punch. These will do well for more pastel colors in soaps that I plan to use them for. For resin, they are really subdued, so I will only use them for projects that I want to power down in intensity.PERFORMANCEThese mica colors are decent. The perform well in soap although they are a bit on the faded color side. They still add some nice subdued colors to the soaps and I plan to use them in bath bombs and lotions. Perhaps even liquid soaps.THE BOTTOM LINEThese micas are less intense than I was hoping, but they are still useful for many projects. These will be used in soaps as that is where I don't mind the subdued colors being.MY RATINGFOUR STARS. I know that it is silly but the silvery appearance of many of these colors makes me not quite as happy with them as I was hoping. They do work well for some projects though so I will use them up.

Nice decorative effect
Product arrived very well packaged and in a timely fashion. I am trying to do some candles at home using soy wax. And this is my first experience using mica. I mixed 1 gram of mica to 16 once of soy wax. Result was beautiful. It looks darker when you mix, but a little lighter after it cools. I even tried to do layers. The effect is beautiful, until the moment you burn the candle. I goes well for a while, but after 30 minutes burning, the wick self-extinguishes, and then I went to research what the problem could be. Apparently mica clogs the wick. So I recommend this product if your intention is to produce decorative candles, not candles for burn. It might work well for other products like soaps etc, but for candles I found this limitation that is not stated in the product description... or I am doing some novice mistake.

Nice set
The Gray Lane Mica Powder Set of 24 Colors is a nice set of various colors that works perfect for a starter set. The 24 colors are very nice but not as vibrant as I would have expected from something labeled vibrant. They are a bit more muted, but still very, very lovely. The sheen is exactly what I want from mica and they mix in nicely. I was surprised with how small the package was for holding 24 colors, but they were spread out in the plastic bags so there were no bulky containers giving the illusion there was more than what there truly is. Three grams isn't a lot, but with mica, a little goes a long way. I like the variety, and when I finally decide what colors I use the most, then I'll look at larger sizes in those colors. Until then, this variety pack is absolutely perfect and the price point is affordable.

Nice packaging and no bag leakage
I ordered these to have extra colors on hand for resin projects. What I was amazed to see is none of the bags inside were leaking. No additional dust anywhere! My only suggestion is just note how small the bags are. If you’re doing something that requires a lot more powder these might not be enough for you.I’m very happy with theses.

Nice Quality
This is a nice quality mica powder great for doing solid colors on resin art projects. It can also be used to make eyeshadow or other types of makeup. It has a lot of nice colors too.
