Replacing the clutch is easy. Make sure use the Torx 20 driver for the job.

Easy to replace with these parts. Trimmer working great.

One suggestion......need to make hole that you gain access to the torx screw to secure the clutch drum.Most torx are too large diameter to reach the screw to tighten it down.One you find a torx wrench that will fit that small hole.....the part fits and works fine.

When I first saw it compared to the part on my Craftsman trimmer I thought I had ordered the wrong part. The clutch was a little smaller than the stock one, I think the springs were a little different and the clutch chrome-like housing was shaped a little different at the point and then smaller diameter at the bottom. However, I thought if it fit in the main housing that it would likely still work and maybe this was a type of universal clutch assembly. Well, it's been working like a champ so far and you'd never know it wasn't a stock part unless you knew.

Great price for a great product

For my Craftsman 29cc WeedWhacker, this is not an OEM replacement. The image shows this item on the left, with the original on the right. The replacement does fit properly and works, but it is much smaller and therefore will have less surface area to transfer power from the power head to the tool.Works, but not a factory replacement.

direct fit excellent material and good price

It makes my craftsman gas trimmer 316711191 work again. I took about 30minutes to replace it. I was about to buy a new one for $200, but googled the problem (engine was running, but no spinning of trimmer) and the fix videos.Update: after using it for 30 minutes, the new clutch was broken. So I have to give a lower rating.

It all fit perfectly and ran like new I used the clutch on a yard machine Y2700ec

Used on Troy-bilt 4stroke trimmer head. Perfect! Fit and worked well.

The shaft of trimmer spins flawless. I stalled thos clutch, it worked about 5 seconds and quit grabbing. Took apart again, inside of disk and centrifugal weights looked polished. Roughened up with course sandpaper, reassembled. Took apart again, stretched centrifugal retaining springs to allow more outward pressure when reved. Reassembled again. Still won't work. I will not recommend to anyone
