This Amplifier Took My TV Reception From Fuzzy to Fancy!
Well, I gotta tell y’all, I didn’t think my little redneck antenna was ever gonna get anything worth watchin’, but then I hooked up this Televes 1-Input TForce Mast Television Amplifier with BOSS-Tech and let me tell ya—it’s like someone handed my antenna a shot of rocket fuel. I went from barely watchin’ my local news to gettin' clear channels like I’ve got a satellite dish planted right in my backyard. This little gizmo? It’s like the Energizer Bunny for your antenna. I’m talking amplified power that makes your antenna pick up signals from three counties over. Now, instead of looking like I’m watching a snowstorm on TV, I’m sittin’ back, drinkin’ a cold one, and enjoyin’ crystal-clear shows. I’ve even got HD channels now, and the picture’s so clear it’s like the folks on the screen are standin' right in my living room. I almost thought I could reach out and shake hands with a weatherman. Now, let’s talk about the BOSS-Tech—whatever that is, it works. I don’t know if it’s some high-tech wizardry or just pure country magic, but this thing makes the reception so good I feel like I’m watchin’ a Blu-ray without the Blu-ray price. The installation? Easier than a two-step at a honky tonk. I plugged this bad boy in, hooked it up to the antenna, and BAM, the TV started pickin' up more channels than a whole cable package. No fancy tech skills required, just a bit of elbow grease and a love for free TV. I’m out here feelin' like I’ve unlocked some kind of TV treasure chest. And the F power supply unit? It’s built like a tank. Solid as a rock, and this thing runs smoother than a freshly paved road. I’m not worried about it breakin’ down or fizzling out halfway through my favorite Western marathon. This little device is here to stay, folks. If you want to take your antenna from lame to legendary, this Televes Amplifier is what you need. It’ll give you TV reception so good, you’ll wonder if you’ve accidentally signed up for cable TV, but without that pesky monthly bill. 10/10, would recommend to all my fellow folks out there who still believe in antenna power.

Outstanding OTA TV antenna preamplifier! Amplifies ONLY the OTA TV signals you need!
This is a terrific preamplifier for Over The Air (OTA) TV antennas. The YouTube channel Antenna Man has a great video review of the dual input version of this antenna - you can find it by searching his channel for "Televes preamplifier".Televes is a major Spanish manufacturer of TV equipment, including antennas.I only needed this single input version because I am fortunate in that all the TV stations in my city come from one direction only - if you live in a place where the major TV signals come from two directions, then the two input version is for you.At 2:21 of Antenna Man's video review, he shows the frequency response of this preamplifier - this device has three band pass filters that only pass through the low VHF (channels 2-6), high VHF (channels 7-13) and the UHF (channels 14-69) spectrums of OTA TV.This is what gets filtered out as a result:Below channel 2 are the military and government low band VHF channels (30-50 MHz) as well as CB radio (still used by truckers today)Between channels 6 and 7 lie a variety of channels - FM radio, ham radio, marine radio, and more military radio channels.Between channels 13 and 14 (the high band VHF and UHF) lies a huge band reserved for military and other government (including the FAA) usage.Above Channel 69 lie all the cellular phone spectrums. So, instead of just an FM filter or LTE/5g filters, this Televes preamp filters out EVERYTHING that you don't want in an OTA TV signal by using these three band pass filters that ONLY allows the signal that you want to get through. The other great thing that this preamp has is an automatic gain control that adjusts for the strength of each frequency band - this prevents one strong signal from swamping out the amplification of weaker signals. The combination of this sharp band filtering and automatic gain control is that all the electronic noise that exists in today's highly mobile environment does not get amplified into the frequency you want and obliterate it.I had a Winegard preamp on my TV antenna, and we were unable to consistently get channel 2, and there was no channel 3. At a previous house in another city, I had used both a Winegard and then the GE preamp, and both would routinely lose Channels 8 and 10.With this Televes preamplifier, I now get Channels 2 and channel 3. From 93 channels, we now get 118 channels.Installation proved to be fairly simple, although the instruction sheet is almost unreadable, with a microscopic print and use of symbols and non-intuitive language (those Europeans love symbols!).I spent some time trying to figure out what the "DC out" on-off switch was for. So, to save you some time, what I discovered was that Televes has an active antenna using what they call BOSS-Tech, which requires further pass through of this DC current. This preamp comes with this on-off switch in the "off" position, which is what it should be left at if you are using just a normal antenna (turn to "on" only if you are using a BOSS-Tech active antenna). So, for installation, just like every other preamp, there is one plug that goes to the antenna and one that goes to your house/TV line. The single input preamp has two additional screw thread outlets that are helpfully already plugged up as they are not in use (they are for the dual-input version). At the power adapter side, same thing - one plug connects to the incoming line from the antenna, and one goes to your house/TV lines. The power adapter has an auxiliary plug which you can connect directly to a TV or another house/TV set up if you want, but I connected the main outlet to a 9 Port Bi-Directional Cable TV Splitter Signal Booster/Amplifier (as listed on Amazon) to distribute to the rest of the house wired cable system. As for the other reviewer's complaint about the screw threads being easy to cross thread - yes, I can see if you are in a hurry, and aren't careful, but just make sure you have the screw ends lined up properly, and I always turn the threads in reverse first to line things up.I used an RCA ANT751E antenna for this setup and put it in the attic with a 50 foot quad shielded solid copper core cable, as recommended by Antenna Man.

Automated gain
Going to get more channel and a clearer picture. Just a bit better than my previous preamp

Probably one of the best
Worked just fine for me. Seems to amplify the signal a little better than most.

Effective in fringe.
My location was a two-station location in the Analog era, and with Digital moving everything to UHF, I became a one-network location. Which one, depending on precise antenna position and atmospheric conditions. Lots of climbing into the attic to nudge it an inch this way or that way or to try the next truss over to hope for something to come in.My prior preamp suffered a quality control issue and often required jiggling or putting pressure on the coax connector, which is quite inconvenient, to maintain connection. So for that alone I was willing to buy a replacement device. For the first time in a long time, I was able to get all of the four major networks at the same time during daylight hours. Although that isn't guaranteed, an average of two major networks working is better than one, which was the prior expectation. I no longer question if my failure to receive is the amplifier's fault; I don't think much more can be done that this device isn't already doing.I remove one star from the Easy to Install category because the documentation is terse and the on-device diagram is not as intuitive as it could be.
