Good Book
Had this book years ago as a kid and even as an adult it remains great fun.

Great fun
I have been leaning to play piano for two years and it's slow going. This book is too advanced for me but it's worth every penny just for the first piece Boogi No.1. Easy to learn and easy to add too using the blues c scale.

lovely melodies ranging from easy to tricky
this was a great buy! and one from a range of "joy of..." music books. I can only play some of the pieces as the others are as yet beyond me but I really enjoy playing these and aspire to the others! I have only played classical music prior to this book so getting into the rhythym for the left hand while the right is doing something quite different was a challenge at first. I think some of the peices in this book are around grade 4 but all of the peices have a great melody and are really fun to play and listen to if your piano teacher plays them!!!!!!

Very Little Boogie
Disappointing as mainly blues and jazz, other tunes may have been given a boogie woogie bass which for me just doesn't work. A boogie bass for Old Joe Clark (I know as a banjo tune) or for Worried Man Blues? Nah. A better buy is Play Boogie Woogie Piano by Arthur Migliazza, the real deal.

Great tunes.
These are all original tunes written for the book but some are pretty good and diverse in style with some being quite jazzy. Most are about intermediate level I think. Anyone who's around Grade 5 should be able to play them.

Finally cracked this piano lark.
Well printed. The tunes are just at my standard but sound so much more professional. When playing them you feel as though you've finally cracked this piano lark.

Fun
Simple but played with good tempo gives the feel for the style and can form the basis of improvisation and further similar pieces.
